Passport Submission at Canadian Embassy Riyadh

Hii friends,

I am looking forward to submit my passport to Riyadh office. However, I am scared by looking there processing time. It's so risky to get our pp stuck with them for these long. Average time is 3-4 weeks all around the globe. Is the delay based on Visa Office from were our application is processed or is general for all irrespective of vo's. I knew some of my friends who submitted there pp's at Riyadh office in May/June and got them back in 2-3 weeks, there visa office was NDVO. Or this is due to the current period were student visa's are applied in large no's.

Greetings, I submitted the passport of me and my family to VFS office Riyadh on 5th of July. Upon contacting them last week, I was told that its being processed in Embassy and I should contact them for more details. I have already sent email to both Riyadh and London office, awaiting their response.

Did u get any reply back from riyadh office regarding the cse u sent. I didnt get any reply from them.

No reply, I hope to get it soon, or at least anyone from you all get it!

I have called riyadh embassy and lady gave email id of visa office riyadh/

I sent him email but no reply yet.

everyone must send email on riyadh.visa at international.gc.ca

The processing times for visa stamping at Riyadh is depressing...over 5-6 weeks???? Could it be that all of the staff are on an extended vacation, starting with Ramadan on 17-June, followed by Summer vacations???

NDVO is processing visa stamping within 10-12 days...so for those living in KSA but have the option of sending it to NDVO, as well, does it make sense to send our passports to NDVO for visa stamping, instead of Riyadh?

I don't think you can send the passport outside the country you are residing on your own. I am not sure about this, I have raised a CSE with NDVO and they said me to submit the pp to Riyadh office. I mention them that I am staying in jeddah,saudi arabia and to take a chance I even asked them whether I can send the pp to ndvo through vfs/vac office here, they only replied with " submit your pp to Canadian Embassy, Riyadh through Visa Application Centre. That's it.

I just feel it was a mass processing, they run out of ink or stickers and they got it yesterday and today they are dispatching all passports.

Tomorrow is 25/8/2015 which the anniversary of my application date, one year exactly, it will be weird to received the passport back on the same date of application .
