Friends, my passport was received by Canadian embassy Abu Dhabi on 28-May through Aramex and since then I haven't heard any thing back. Is there any way to contact Abu Dhabi embassy and check the status?

Nothing to worry. ADVO is taking around 3-4 weeks for Visa Stamping. My passport was received by ADVO on 19th May and returned on 12th June.

Congrats!!!
When was ur passport delivered to Abu Dhabi?

Passport received 21-6
10 working days plus 4 days weekend plus 4 days courier so 10+4+4=18 days
Approximately 3 weeks from the day of receiving passports

It didn't work in my case as it's been 12 working days since my passport delivered to Abu Dhabi embassy and Aramex hasn't picked my passport back.

Good luck for waiting though

I've received my passports today. Submitted to ADVO on 28-May-2015. They took three and a half weeks to complete and return

Hello All,

I am waiting for PPR from NDVO. Currently my wife and son is in Dubai on tourist visa and expected to return in India in Sept 2015.

I query is: If I will get PPR in couple of weeks than Can my wife & son directly deposit Passport in Canadian High Commission, Dubai or Abu Dhabi for visa stamping?

If yes than how?

Is there any other option for visa stamping other than coming back to India to send their PP at NDVO...?

Abu Dhabi embassy accepts 2 passports by options. One personal submission and another by Aramex. If you wife and son are in UAE then better option would be submitting their passports personally at embassy ( instruction letter and other required docs to be included). However, you have to be aware that your wife and son have to stay without passport for 4 weeks.

Dear All,

I am living in Dubai and have used VFS Dubai - as it says, it is the recommended option in the email.
I have sent it on June 4 (Thurs), got an email and sms stating that my pp has been forwarded on the 7th (Sun).
I resigned from work on the 18th thinking that my pp should be returned back after 10+3 working days.. I have sent emails to ADVO and VFS and got auto replies, i am bit worried now.
I have read from 1 forum mate in this thread that we could go visit the VO and fill-in some "Status Request Form" and some proofs of the urgency if it has reached at least 15 working days.. tomorrow is monday, they are open to the public, do you think it is a good idea to go and check on them personally? My wife is 31 weeks pregnant and is very worried, can i use it as a proof to show the urgency?
Help guys!

Thanks in advance.

It's has been 28 days (delivered on 7th June) since I had submitted passports to Abu Dhabi through Aramex and haven't received them back. However, one of my friend got his passport back yesterday in 16 days time. Which means there is no consultancy how they work over there. I believe they pick up randomly..... Let's see how lucky we are!!!!

BTW from where did you send passports? If from Qatar and wish to join whatsapp group then you can PM your number.
