passport stamps

I'm suppose to go for my citizenship and interview test soon and I'm just wondering for supporting documents i read that passport stamps need to be translated. Well that doesnt say it in requirements but i see that some people translate their stamps.

Is that the case?

I'm just not sure how to have the passport stamps translated? I left and entered the country a couple times and some of those stamps are not in English but they are to smothered, like you cant understand what it says.

what exactly do people mean by passport stamp translation?

Well actually, people translate their stamps to avoid having to go through hell in case the CIC official doesn't understand a stamp or something.... you get only one chance to get your citizenship smoothly, so if keeping it smooth means translating your stamps, then don't take the chance!

Some countries have zero english on their stamps, I went to Egypt once and the stamp in my passport is totally in arabic, including the numbers, so I will surely translate this stamp before my interview !

I see the point, but how can i translate a some of them when you cant even tell what it says . the ink made it unreadable and its very small to begin with.
I dont want to go through hell

Well If you can't read what's in there, then a translator won't be able either, just like a CIC officer

So just try to remember each and every stamp and try to write down as many details as possible on a side paper so that you answer questions without hesitating !

I have the same issue with passport stamps. However, a lot of translators are used to seeing weird stamps and they are good at understanding them.

I have another issue is that i entered Calgary 3 times and the officer didn't stamp my passport. In this case, when they will check my stamps, it won't be matching the entry dates on my application. I ordered CBSA report and received it and it clearly shows those days.

i am planning on taking the CBSA report with me to the interview whenever I receive one to be on the safe side. Do you guys agree? Thoughts/ Advise?

That is the best specially if you dont have an entry stamp back into Canada. In my interview they looked at what I gave them matched to my passport so if there isn't one you can show that. Though I didnt order a CBSA report i also took all ticket receipts which showed my return to Canada. Good Luck
