I lived in Malaysia, and I have some of such stamp. Any stamp before landing will not be looked at/checked by the officer. Please do not worry about translating it. It is not needed!

You said this by experience, you went to the interview or just you think that is no need to translate. That is what I am thinking, the date is in English and clear and before landing.

Thanks

By experience. I had my test on July 2nd, and any stamp with a date in English before landing was not looked at. I translated those stamps that had their dates in non-English, whether they were before or after landing. The dates on the Malaysian stamps are in English.

Thank you Oct13
That means the most important is the date.

Yes, I had one Malaysian stamp a couple of days before my landing. I did not translate it since the date shows it is before the landing one.

Hi everyone,

i have similar to this stamp below. So the round green stamp has only Date and "UAE" in English. Do you think i should translate this?
For similar stamps with a date before my landing date, would translation be needed?

Hi,
i am going to apply citiznship....
my question is i have uae entry and exit stamps on my passport
but bouth stamps are in arabic with english words together ....
What is your advise, ? shell i do translate or leave it like that ?
Thanks.
I have my Citizenship test and interview next Thursday Mar 19th. I have a lot of UAE stamps on my passport. I noticed that stamps I had pre 2008 did not state Entry and Exit in English, but only in Arabic, however they did state "UAE" and the date in English.
The UAE stamps I have in my passport for the last 4 years (2010 and onwards) actually state Entry and Exit in English along with "UAE" and date in English. Therefore I assume this should be sufficient for the officer and I will not be getting them translated.
I will try remember to let you guys know next Thursday after my test what happens, if you don't hear from me then please PM me if you want to know and I will get back to you.

Also, you do not need to submit any stamp translations with your initial application. You are only required to show stamp translations (if at all required) at the time of your interview.

The dates on your stamps are from 2006, which is way before the 4 years period before the date of your citizenship application during which you are required to meet the residency duration. I have similar stamps on my passport (see my post above), and I will not be getting them translated. Send me a PM next Thursday and I will let you know how my interview goes and if I run into any issues (which I doubt I will)...
