Application status approved: 30th Jan
Return tracking number activated: 30 Jan evening
Passports and COPR received: 31 Jan

Do any one knows what is process of doing landing formalities at any IRCC office and what are the timelines of getting an appointment?

And in case of landing at land border, do we need US visa to cross border and come back ?

Congratulations

Landing formalities at IRCC office: after getting COPR, call at 2100 number (usual cic call centre), request an appointment, close to your area. Then you will get a call from the CIC m office for the appointment date and time. Its pretty straight forward.

2. As per my knowledge, you dont need USA visa at the border. Just tell the border security, you are here for soft landing after COPR.

all the best and guys please let me know if there is another way or correct me if I am wrong!

thanks

I also do not believe you need an US visa. Just tell the US officer that you are “flagpoling”. They will give you a paper that you have been “refused entry”, even if it’s voluntary. Nothing to worry about

I called IRCC, there is an automated message for people who have received COPR, to email at IRCC.PRA-RVPR.IRCC@cic.gc.ca with details related to your application.
So, I have emailed them, and got an auto reply saying "You should receive an email confirming the details of your appointment within 30 calendar days".
Looks like it will be a longer process than going to land-border and doing soft landing.
Still, I will wait for 2-3 days at least for any update on online appointment

I checked my online status and it shows application approved and counterfoil number & expiry date. :)
