Today I got the email with appointment details for the post COPR thing. In my appointment request email I had mentioned the nearest IRCC offices to my home, So they have booked at nearest office for 13th Feb.I called IRCC, there is an automated message for people who have received COPR, to email at IRCC.PRA-RVPR.IRCC@cic.gc.ca with details related to your application.
So, I have emailed them, and got an auto reply saying "You should receive an email confirming the details of your appointment within 30 calendar days".
Looks like it will be a longer process than going to land-border and doing soft landing.
Still, I will wait for 2-3 days at least for any update on online appointment

Pleasantly surprised to get the appointment booked quicker than expected.
Have you received it after all? I have doneMy passport has reached Toronto but they haven't delivered it to my home yet.
I am also planning to do flag poling at 1000 island tomorrow if I have my passport and CoPR back today.
Do you wanna get on a call to discuss how we can prepare for the flag poling?
Great info !!! Thanks for writing.Canada Post messed up the delivery of my passport and CoPR. Took a bit of time to get them to deliver to my place yesterday.
I went to 1000 island bridge and did flag pole there. US custom: ok not as welcoming as Canadian custom. It took 30 mins at US border and 5 mins at Canadian border to land. The Canadian officers didn’t even look at my POF. She just asked for a number. 5 mins that’s it (I think even like 2-3mins). I was back at Canadian border at 11am I think, there was only one family before me.
Highly recommend 1000 island bridge. Before I come, I called to check and was informed they do flag pole 24/7 and don’t have a limit for the number of people they take in each day. The only draw back might be it’s a bit further from Toronto and you actually need a car to cross the bridge. Also the taxi driver will need to go into those buildings and wait with you. At US border, they will take the car key and only return it when you come back out with a piece of paper the officer will give you by the end of the process at US border.
Important note: Flag pole is marked as one administrative denied entry. It won’t have any negative impact on your future visa application to US. And you should answer Yes (and put a comment: Flag pole) if the visa application asked that question. I clarified these two points with the US border officer. So that’s almost official. Hope that helps people who want to do flag pole but are concerned about being marked denied entry once.
