The application status on BLS tracker changed to: In Transit from Consulate General to BLS Centre This is for my passport cancellation certificate, any idea how much time it takes from here to receive the courier ? My OCI walk-in appointment is on 27th May.

On passport sewa site the status is: Surrender Certificate application form has been submitted.

Applied for surrender certificate on 4th May, walk-in application with courier service for delivery .. Status still shows as "Processing at Consulate General".. Have an appointment booked on 27th ay for OCI, don't know how much more time they would take for surrender certificate.

Has anyone applied for surrender certificate through a mail/courier directly without using BLS courier service ? How much it cost that way ? How does the certificate pickup from BLS center works ?

I am planning to use Canada Post mail service instead of BLS's courier option. Do I still need to send applications separately ?

I just called BLS to clarify on the fee and some other questions. They informed me that from 1st April till last week the fee was reduced to 38.7 and now its back to 117... They were not able to clarify why was this done and would there be any near future fee changes ..

Thanks for the info. There is one problem I see, I booked appointment for Visa type, and the appointment location I got is 60 Gillingham Dr, Brampton, that is different from what I think OCI appointments are at, that is 40 Gillingham Dr.

Thanks, I was able to book under Visa appointment type. How are these appointments work. Are these walk-ins instant like can we reach the location 15 minutes prior to the appointment time Or is it like the long queues that starts from early morning that we see at Passport Service locations ?
