Passport request for further processing

Hi
I applied for PhD student visa online,I have been requested for original passport for further processing stating that we have made a final decision on your application, but online status of my application still shows "OPEN" and final decision "NOT STARTED".

What does this mean/I am bit confused,I have submitted all the required documents and passed a medicals a week ago.
please help me.

It means your visa has been approved. That doesn't matter what the status is on cic account.
