Passport Request. Do I have to send expired passport also.

Hello my friends.
I received a passport request today.
Application Date: November 16,2020
Visitor Visa
I would like to know if I have to submit the expired passort that I used for application with the new one as the new passport is blank. My new passport was renewed in my home country but when I entered to my residence country it was with my old passport as it was not expired yet, so there is no stamps and seal on my new passport.

You would have given old passport details in your initial visa application. Did you update IRCC anytime during this 2 year waiting period about your passport expiry and details of new passport ? In any case you have to submit both the passports now that old passport is anyways expired.
