I am currently on study permit and finishing my studies this month. I have renewed my passport in between the studies. Will the study permit become invalid if i renew my passport. I am planning to apply for pgwp in coming days. Will there be an issue because of the difference in the passport numbers.

Can you elaborate. So the study permit stays valid even if i renew the passport ?
The validity of a study permit is normally synchronised with the passport expiry so it is highly unusual for you to have a passport that expires before your study permit. Having said that the conditions under which your study permit stays valid have nothing to do with the passport (except for synchronised expiries as per above).
Passport cards are US-only credit-card-sized cards, and are not accepted outside North America and some Caribbean countries.
