Passport from outside Canada

Hi

I took my Oath of citizenship last week but I am yet to receive my citizenship certificate. I have to travel to India on Dec 15. I may not have enough time to apply for Canadian passport before I leave. Would it be possible to apply for Canadian passport for the first time in India?

But the tricky part will be to exit India. You will need to Surrender your passport and get exit permit once in India.

Thanks for the info. I am just staying in India for a month. Dec 15 - Jan 15. Not sure if I can get all three done on time.

In hindsight, would have made sense to just postpone my oath. But it is what it is.
