Passport Expiry

Hello,

Can you please let me know what's the impact of passport expirty date with PR process. While submitting the application I had 7 months of validity and recently amount was deducted after 6 weeks and AOR not issued yet. So will they check my passport has 6 months validity at the time of issuing AOR or how it will be validated. Meanwhile I'm trying to extend my Passport further and want to send the copy of it to CIC.

Apply for a new passport or extension, and if you get it, scan it and email the scan of the new passport to CPP-O.
Mention your name, DoB and filenumber in the email so the VO can find your application and update it.

You will have to wait until after getting AOR, as the your contains your filenumber.
Wait until you get AOR and then email them the new passport.

No. I haven't heard of such rule. You need a valid passport by the time you apply, but the checklist doesn't say
how long it has to be valid for.
Apply for a new one, wait for AOR and then update CIC. That's all you have to do.

If they've charged your credit card it's highly unlikely to impact AOR
