They are not understanding the importance of passport. My license is expired and i have to renew it without the passports DMV do not renew one's license.

You should ask for emergency retrieval of passport and send it back after your are done with license process.

Just google and searching for the mp list and drop them an email, if you were province nominated make sure reach to the mp in your designated province.

I looked up online for MP contact details and sent an email explaining my case. I'm not sure if they can expedite the process but it didn't help my application.

Though we had an MP write to IRCC on our behalf on Nov14th 2020- Ottawa CPC rejected the request saying it's not their division but the local office is delaying the process to finalize the application.
Later we had the request routed to Montreal VO that's processing my case on DEC 14th 2020.
Till date nothing has changed nor things moved any faster. Every time I call, agent mentions to me that officer is looking into the request from your local MP's office.

Wow that is very frustrating. Can’t imagine every single step of PR need such endless escalation ... and it didn’t work

Just wondering if you ever actually got anything by mail back from CPC-Ottawa? Just wondering what the point of sending new photos was, only to send a new set to get PR card.

I had my application status change to approved, no email though.
