I usually check Immitracker to get an understanding of recent trend and found this tracker just now .. Looks like some movement in December for Nov passport delivered cases..

Just got off the phone with agent and the very obvious reason 'Working with low staff, hence the delayed processing times'. This is beyond frustrating.

I don't understand why they are holding International passports so long.

It mustn't be intentional. I think this just shows things are poorly organized on their side. Passport requests should be sent out at the same pace of their processing, but there is an obvious disconnection between the people who send out passport requests and people who process the passports.

All they say is Fedex tracking is the only proof of delivery(should be OK if delivered to correct address). They have nothing on my file to prove passports are received.

This is horrible. They don't even open all the packages and put them into their database first (maybe they don't even have a database).

1 month and 4 days still no news or update about the passport.

Mine has been 2 months and 14 days. No update yet!

Passport request received on 12/23
Passports sent on 12/29 and received by Ottawa office byb12/30.

There has been no update since, no change in online profile.

Have travel plans in February, does anyone have a contact for the CIC office ? When can one expect the passport back.?

I am in the US and have to exit the country as I max out my H1b in March.

Please help.

Send the Ottawa offciean email with tickets attached. They do respond within couple of days when you prove that you’re case is genuine ie you submit some supporting docs.
I used that method to get a confirmation that they received my passports

They are not understanding the importance of passport. My license is expired and i have to renew it without the passports DMV do not renew one's license.

They understand of course, but sadly I don't think they care, and that's the problem.

Ircc agent just used their common phrase "JUST BE PATIENT".
