I know! I'm so lonely this weekend it's pathetic. Yesterday I butterfly-roasted a whole chicken all for myself. Burp.
Was it not very good?! If it was, I'd expect to see a "BRAAAAPPP" ! ! :)

When I quit working overseas I had trouble finding enough work at home in Canada, despite a degree and killer resume, just because my field of work is not too in-demand. So I put an ad in the online paper as a house cleaner. I had no experience but nobody asked. I got a couple of clients and it was hard work, but I got enough money to survive on without eating my savings until I could go back to school. I'm Canadian born with credentials and a fancy resume, but I'm not ashamed to work hard. Work is work. And for that you can charge $20 - $25 an hour, much better then $10 an hour in other jobs.

I admire you, that is a very tough job I think. If I were in your situation I probably do the same just to earn money and save to go back to School and take another course. Cleaning other person's house is not bad for me. Atleast you're not wasting your time but instead your using it to make money while waiting for other opportunities to come. THUMBS UP ...!!!

thought i might join ....

i join a yoga class and a gym class...also in my line of work i have an option to do work over-time...soo i do that mostly....to gain extra money and occupies my mind.....

soo my days and weekends are pack ;D the months and days seems to pass quickly for me :o can you believe we are in November already?....

Congrats! Are you a Filipina? I'm sure you can find a nice hotel to do your OJT. I know some here in Davao where my friends/inlaws had success if you're nearby.

well I'm all about no calories:

2 oz vodka
6 oz soda water
3 slices of lime

a nice cool refreshing drink the eases the pain of waiting..... :P

Now here is someone after my own heart ;D I just got introduced to Tom Collins over the past weekend, never thought I would enjoy Gin, but those Tom Collins are mighty easy to take :)

When it is just me by myself and that is quite a bit, as my wife is in the Philippines with our son while we go through our process like the rest of you. I have a few favorite shows I watch off the net. Follow my Nascar races on the TV (the only thing I own a tv for). I also enjoy scale modeling, and endeavor to keep my place clean - doesn't sound like a whole lot of fun after typing it all out.

Sometimes you get frustrated with the waiting game, (we have been going through this for 17 months now - due to problems with paper work in the Phil's and their very very slow moving system) I used to like going out for a coffee on a weekend morning and sitting outside and watching the rest of the world wake up. But that hasn't been any fun, for the last while, you get tired of sitting there alone. But good news, wifey promised to go for coffee in the morning as well when she gets back :)

I find myself also passing time here, checking to see if anyone has got their PRR/Visa stamp, a bit of good news even if it is not your own gives you a bit of hope, and makes you feel like that is one more person down and puts your end one more case closer.

Thank god I have work, and my union involvement to keep me busy, work is work, but the Union stuff also supplies some educational opportunities and travel and fellowship with like minded people. That helps with what seems at time to be weeks of repetitive monotony.

passing the time thinking about if i wasnt in the office is be passing gas....which i cant cause im in the office...

Okay, I'm bringing this back up from the dead!

I found something else to pass hubby's time. HOUSEWORK! :P

haha My wife keeps be busy with that as well!

But other than that I've taken up getting back into art/drawing, I kind of gave up on it for a long time but I guess being in a new country was a fresh breath of air for me so I've found my inspiration again and I'm trying to make the best of it. It keeps me busy for at least a few hours a day for a few days out of the week.
