Hello, posting on behalf of my sister. Please help.
I graduated from Western University with a Master's degree in Dec 2022. I was working in my field until July 2023 and I got laid off in the last week of July. It has been tough finding a job since then. But I only received 1 year of PGWP that expires in April 2024. Since I wouldn't qualify for CEC or EE with my less than 1 year of experience, I want to start my masters graduate stream application now. However, I do not have the sufficient funds ($13,757). I'm thinking of applying to part time jobs such as Tim Hortons or McDonald's as the website says we can support the funds requirements with a job offer. My question is, is having a part time job offer considered to fulfill the criteria for funds or is it only that we should have a full time job offer?
Please also let me know if there is any other program that suits me better. Open to suggestions. Thanks a ton for reading!
