True every application is different...
we are together almost 6 years (2 years married)! We don't have Facebook/instragan for option... but we have a lot pictures together and I cry when I write the letter about our relationship! Well everthing I wish is "building" a family with him :)
Awwwww, 6 year’s is a long time. You both have b
I am happy for you guys, but nothing new on my part ... all I want to do is to cry

If your in Canada call 1-888-242-2100 and speak to an immigration agent. Ask for an update on your application. If you have gone past the 1 year mark, from when you submitted your application you can email your mayor and ask for an investigation into your application. If you have not gone past the 1 year there is not much that can be done. Also, you can order your GCSM notes. These notes will give you a clear idea as yo what step your currently on.

Hope this information helps.

Thank you, one year will be next week. My MP will follow-up then. GCSM shows that eligibility is passed but there’s not much information.

I’ll try to call, thanks !

congrats!!
i am also sponsoring my algerian spouse, how long do you think before your spouse arrives here in canada?

My husband will be going to Algiers on Monday and leave his passport at the Visa office, along with the signed form that they will email to you. Your husband will also have to bring with him (2) two "current" passport pictures with a white background and he must wear a coloured shirt. The place that makes these pictures will have to stamp the back of one of the pictures, with their address and date it. Plus, a signature needs to be on it.

My husband will have to go back to the visa office in Algiers five days after and pick up the passport. Once the passport has been stamped with the visa then he can purchase his plane ticket. We are planning that he will be here March 8th, 2019. :D

Concerning the passport request, please keep us updated! You will send the original passport to Paris Vo? Or u need to go there by yourself? How long they will return the passport with the stamp? How it works?

Please, when u finish this procedure, explain to us, what u did! Thanks

Hello,

My husband went to the Visa office in Algiers with his passport on Monday, 2 pictures and the form, which he dated and signed, that immigration emailed to him. This form also has the "barcode" on it. He got there and took a number, then took a seat and waited for his number to be called. Once called, he went into a room with an Immigration Officer, who congratulated him on his Permanent Canadian Residence, then she took his passport. She said the passport will have the visa put in it and then it will be mailed back to him. My husband chose to have his passport sent back to him through UPS, rather then traveling back to Algiers to pick it up.

The Immigration Officer said he should have it back by next week Monday. Now we wait for the passport to be mailed back to him. Once the passport is returned to his residence, with the visa inside, then he can purchase his plane ticket to Canada.

The end.
