since they didn't ask you for an interview.. this is usually a good news. waiting for PP request soon.. wow.. you are lighting fast.

I certainly hope so!! If it was this fast, I pray all of you other applicants get it as fast as me. I know how hard it is to wonder if/when your spouse will get the ability to live in Canada permanently.

Hi !
I just saw the new time line system on CIC.
They show by VO.
For French in Paris, it's showing 10 months.
Disappointed ! I thought Paris was faster....

Anyway, do you have news about that ?

Dong

Hi Guys, Canadian sponsoring my husband from Libya , we are both in EU and have been for almost three years now, our application was sent to Paris, starting processing March 15,2016 medical results have been received , Both sponsor side and PR side says in process , no update since they received application January 26th 2016 , I can understand why our application is in Paris bc of his Nationality , but what does his refugee status here have to do with wanting to go home to Canada?

Totally, The spring is coming; it's so nice here. I tried to explain to my wife in Tunisia that I saw a killer whale jumping out of the water from my BC ferry ride.. it's hard to explain to her. i kept telling myself; if our marriage can survive this; we can survive anything down the road.

Sure is hard not knowing the outcome , I have a Daughter and Son , and three Grand babies , That can't wait to meet their step dad , and Poppy!!! And I can't wait to get back to Them :'(

so you have a husband in Libya? then we are kinda of similar.. my wife lives in Tunis right now.. we are both in Paris office.. did you check your timeline.. is yours 8 month average as well?

Husband is from Libya , but we live together here in Europe the last three years, No Idea how long we will be waiting for a answer, Our lawyer said the processing times is 17 months , But I sure hope it don't take that long, This wait is Driving me Insane, Keep me posted on your journey and I'll do the same, Good Luck to you :)

yep.. your lawyer is correct.. .i just checked Libya online. it was indeed 17 month. weird that Tunisia is only 8 month.. even though both of them are processed in Paris. My only explanation might be French is one of the official languages there .. dont feel bad; you might get him quicker.. have you ever thought about talking to a MP? I worked some contracts with the federal gov; not the same department as CIC.. but i was told i should go to see my local MP. i havent done it yet.

Also Where are you from if you don't mind me asking , did you use a Lawyer for your application?

I am from Nanaimo, British Columbia. No, I did not use a lawyer. even though it took 2 month to do it. I am also not an Arab.. Chinese Canadian male instead.. I am sponsoring my wife, who is a Tunisian.

I just wanted to let you know we got DM today. Now we are waiting for COPR, hope it will happen soon.
We sent the application on Dec 16, and Paris started to work on the file on Febr 23rd.

Good luck to all who are waiting for good news from Paris.

Well the times are all messed up I think. We are applying with Spain which is processed in Paris, it shows 9 months but we have Decision Made already? So weird! I hope these times are all incorrect and everyone gets it in like 4-5 months maximum!

Also, I initially asked my MP for support... They were awful, very rude to my wife and I. Offered no help.

It was Don Valley North in Toronto, a Liberal riding.... So disappointing that they didn't offer me support. It was the office manager who "helped" me. The MP himself refused to answer any of my emails, phone calls, or in-person requests.
