Sa3 I sent them email on Saturday 23rd and I got reply today morning!
I hope they work on my file as soon as possible I am so worried coz only my application is taking that much time now I am into 12th month since applied !

That is tooooo long compared to the dates in the tracking sheet. Do you know why is it taking them that time? Have they requested any documents from you? Based on their site, the application should be completed within 8 months only. Your application was transferred to them in Aug 2014. It should be completed by Apr 2015.

I don't know what is the best way to handle this case.

Yh they requested me 3 times
2 times they asked me to send them my residential status as I was having temporary residence permit of Portugal of 1 year I sent them in October 2014 as it was expiring in November 2014.

So they again requested me same thing in October 2014 and I sent them my renewal residence permit which was valid for another 2 year

Third time in February 2015 they ask me to prove our relationship for that I sent lot of proofs and proved it

Since then I haven't heard any thing

Just last month we did MP inquiry
And now this email which I mentioned in early post!!

I hope all will be good now!

MP informed us that our file is all Ok and it's in que for senior visa officer to review and finalize it so it's been a month now for that inquiry too and no reply from visa office Paris and now few days ago on Saturday I sent the email and they informed this which I mentioned in that post!

Guys, I want to cry of happiness!!! I am serious!! I checked the ECAS this evening around 10 pm (Toronto time) and it was still "In Process". Just got home from a birthday party and checked it again! Its is 2:15 am (Toronto time) and it says: "A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision." I am going to cry!!! I am so happy!!!

We almost have the same timeline except they requested CSQ and IMM5562 (that I sent on May 11). I really hope I get an answer soon!!!!

I would appreciate advice from experienced members.

I want my husband to be present for our childs birth. So far his application is still "application received" and paris office requested we pay RPRF on may 5.

should we apply for tourist visa? (we applied for study permit twice and it was rejected based on purpose of visit, although he has a scholarship to study in canada) or should I attempt to reapply for study permit?

Also, in terms of the COPR? our country does not have a mailing system, so how will he receive it? can it be picked up at postal service office like FEDEX or DHL? or will it be sent to nearest visa center?

We just received an email from Paris VO requesting more documents. This is the first communication that we receive from them which works as an AOR too Cheesy

They are asking for the following information:

- The original criminal record dated less than three months and issued by the authorities of Algeria in Arabic;
- Please list any activity (employment, education, unemployment, holidays, etc.) for the periods indicated below. You must indicate the positions held, company name, employer, workplace, etc. and dates (month / year) without interruption:
From 2003/04 to 2010/05


I am very happy to know that they started looking at our application.

BTW, Ecas still shows the status of PR Application as "Application received".

or you already sent it with initial application ?

Yes I sent my police certificate with my application. I sent them police certificate of Pakistan(my home country) Of UK (reside there for 2.5 years) and Portugal residing here in Portugal since applied!
