is there a difference in processing times when applied through IRCC portal or GCkey? I applied through GCkey since it allows more documents.

I applied through GC key for both. One got approved in just 19 days while the other for my father is still in process since the past 40+ days
Got approved for my father:
Application submitted: May 4th
Biometrics: 14th May
Background check: in process on tracker and IRCC portal
BIL & PPR: June 14th, 2024

I have started supervisa application for my parents. Can someone please tell me how long it roughly takes to get a supervisa these days? 3-5 months? Im trying to fill the application with parent's arrival date of Nov 1 2024, not sure if I should amend this date to accomodate supervisa processing times. Thanks in advance.

No yet! We mentioned 2 months stay. I reached out to the IRCC via the webform, and their response was quite surprising. They requested all application details along with the fee receipt to locate the application, which suggests they were unable to find it initially.
Following their instructions, I forwarded all the necessary documents and the fee receipt. After submitting multiple webform inquiries, I finally received a response from the IRCC. They confirmed that they have now received all the required documents and that our mother's Super Visa application is still in processing.
While I appreciate Prime Minister Trudeau's efforts in making Canada a great country, I must express that the current immigration policies have made the process quite challenging.
Hello everyone. I am in the process of applying a SuperVisa for my father. One issue I have is that my biological mother died in 1992 and my father remarried after a few years. However, all the paperwork lists my biological mother as my mother (birth-certificate and FRC). So I don't have any documentation to demonstrate that my step mom 'adopted' me. Since I don't have that, it seems I cannot apply a SuperVisa for her.
However, fortunately, it seems that she can still accompany him as a spouse. Do you guys know if the LICO calculation would be for 3 people (myself, my wife and my dad) or for four? Additionally, would she also require a SuperVisa medical insurance?

I applied for both my mother and father and we did medical upfront for both. My mother's application was approved but for my father they sent a medical request. However we provided this upfront. He called the medical office in Islamabad and they said he shouldn't have to do this again. I submitted these details in the webform but no response. I am not sure what to do here. We applied April 29th through IRCC portal. Should he get the medical done again?

How do you know if its approved? Did they send you an email in the portal that says that you are approved.
My parents got a request for medical today after I applied for their super visa in January 2024. But no update or email from IRCC between Biometric enrolment and today's medical request.

I received my mother's super visa approval in three months. You should be getting it in a similar timeline as well.
