IRCC has 3rd party agencies in other countries who do this BG check work for them - clearly they haven’t responded. Till the time these third party agencies dont give clearance, IRCC obv will keep file open. The ball isn’t in their court and that’s why no timeframe.
These agencies work with govt. of that country to retrieve info so in short it’s a govt. clearance (somewhat like PCC), and they decide who gets faster or slower clearance.
I heard a minister say this during recent discussions/ tensions brewing between India-Canada.

Still their should be any timeframe as ircc is responsible for this. On the other hand for refugees into canada their is no BG checks. Its so funny

My daughter applied for parents super visa in August 2022. My husband is a retired army officer since 2009. However, we were informed by our consultant that it would take 8-9 months. We received a self declaration form from Canadian embassy in February 2023. It was duly filled and received by Canadian embassy by March 10th. Ever since we are waiting month by month. I fail to understand when all details have been provided by the earnest officer, then why is it taking so long for background the check. ts been 9.5 months now.
My anxiety is on rise because my daughter is pregnant and is due to deliver by mid June23. We have sent requests too. And did receive a response yesterday that application is being reviewed.
I am POSITIVE that our visa will arrive. Just need to know how much is expected time in processing of the same?
Did u got any update madam ?

Needs timeframe to complete?
People are waiting for 3-4 years. Is that make any sense ?
