It takes APPROX. between 2 months 20 days to 3 months from the time when they have actually received your docs.

Take a look to compare at various forums people who had sent back the req docs during August and when they have their AORs.

Hi All,

I have one question, we are soon shifting to Canada as receiving PR soon. My MIL is alone in India and we want her to live there with us as long as possible maximum. As I could see that sponsorship takes almost 4 years time to be granted.

Can some one please tell me if there parents are living with them on parent/grandparent supervise. If yes, how often they have to go out from Canada? Is there any other limitation apart from going out for sometime after every two years? Please help as we have to plan for her.

Thanks,
Shweta

For SuperVisa, it is normally issued for 10 years - however some have received it for 2 years. In any case, it can be renewed fairly easily. The applicant can stay in Canada as long as the Visa is valid. There is no limitation that the person must leave Canada every two years.

There is some additional information you need to be aware of. The validity of the visa (as it appears on the visa) has nothing to do with the duration of stay in Canada. It is how long the immigration officer grants (stamped on the passport on arrival to Canada) that determines the duration of visit. It could be 6 months, 2 years, 5 or even 10. It is this date that you have to consider.

Fellow members,

I am confused here with the minimum income. I read the forum and people have mentioned that the amount in the chart given on cic website is including the 30%. However when I called CIC and asked them they said that income mentioned plus 30%. Please someone give an insight on this. Thanks in advance.

Supervisa and multiple visa is up to candidate passport expiration date.

After AOR, the next step will be sponsorship approval and file transfer (to Ottawa or LVO). I would expect this to take about two months from the date of your AOR. So you should see something in February.
