my good guess is if the parents are in Canada on super visa and you put their mailing and residential address in Canada, their case will be sent to CPC-Ottawa.

So what my file is already sent to local visa office (new Delhi), but if I bring my parents on supervisa to canada next summer, can they still do medicals etc from Canada if the medical request is received while they r in Canada or they will need to return to India for medicals?

They can do medicals in Canada, as long as their visa and stay is still valid. I am not sure but I think your parents also need to get Medical Examination completed to apply for Super Visa as well.

Your parents can do the medicals anywhere in the world regardless which visa office is processing the file. If they are in Canada, they can do it here as well.

I was referring to the transfer of the parent file once the sponsorship is approved. You have passed that stage as your file is already sent to ND.

Even if you bring your parents to Canada on Super Visa, their file will stay at ND office. They have to pass the medical exam before Super visa is issued

Indeed, it is Call Center. I have spoken to personnel at Call Center in the past and they seem to have access to information about application (details and status). They, of course, do not make any decision but are helpful.

I did call the call center and they were helpful. The agent send me an email with the contact information. He also advised me to correct the mistake and attach an explanation letter with the photocopy of the original form in which i made an error. The email gave me the option of either sending the document through regular mail or email. Thanks everyone....

yesterday we got medical request in mail and still not get any email from Delhi & so please check yours mails regularly..............good luck for 2010 applicant n be ready for medical request...............................

Yes it is ok. It's not forbidden to update file without a request.
Updating file is alright.
(Only Islamabad officials are unable to see updates right in front of them)

Hi Tp,
From your timeline I can see that it took 5 years for CIC to contact u for updated form and additional docs...
Was ur file complicated or wt? Usually most members gor the same request in 3 years.
It is so confusing. If files are in queue than why some people who applied after you got responses and u had to wait for the same response for so long?

And next step would be to receive request for passport....is medical valid for one year only....r there any exceptions?

medical received means that medical are fine. I think if your medical is expired then they will extend the medical validity or another medical but you should expect good news soon.

I got a mail from CIC that my application transferred to Ankara.

Anyone has dependent on his/her application? I have one dependent over 22.
Anyone knows what is the acceptance rate for dependent in Ankara or any other embassy ?

document sent nov 2013
file transfer to delhi April 2014 & also got email from delhi for confirmation

& WE got request for medical on 23rd nov

and there is 3 members in my family mom,dad and 22+ yrs old brother
