I was very sad just a night ago and went to bed crying woke up with a call from my family that they were contacted to pick up passports. I could not believe i was crying and laughing at the same tiime. :'( :P
Best of luck everyone. Big thanks to my old forum members specially User828, Luck786, Gaggi dhillon, Ranja, Hira, Sonu86, Nanpush, Pari4u, Starzibal, Appletalk and many many more i miss you all and stay happy forever. It feels like it was just yesterday when Pari4u started this forum and we all started adding posts and within a blink of eye we all were like family and supporters of each other. Some of us got lucky enough and got visas quickly in 2012 and 2013 and some were like me and User828 and many more who had to wait this long and are still waiting. But one of our best forum member Luck786 lost her father and her famiily couldn't come to be with her, Luck you were always soo good and helpful to everyone on this forum always may your dad rest in peace and i hope you get and find strength to stay happy, love you girl and lots of respect for you. My prayers goes to those who are still waiting..don't worry your turn will come very soon. :) Try to be nice to everyone and nice things will happen to you.
Again bigg thanks my old forum members love you all. :-*

Congratulations! :)

Folks my dad lived in Japan for a period of 8 months but never continuously for 6 months.

We have now received the medicals from New Delhi - just want to know if a police clearance certificate will be required from Japan as that takes more than 2 months to receive and the period that has been provided in 60 days to complete all details.

Thanks in advance!

Rahul

Hi Everyone!
My wife and I would like to sponsor her both parents, right now our Family size is 5 (me, my wife, baby + parents) and this is our case:
I came here in Edmonton June 2010, then got work July 2010. CIC wants 3 preceding tax years on their latest form, that is 2010, 2011 & 2012. I will be her co-signee to meet the MNI, but since I have only half of 2010 taxed we only got less of the LICO (around $47K that time we're just 2). Our Tax years for 2011 to 2013 meet and exceeds the LICO for the Family size of 5, but we still don't have the NOA for 2013 to submit it this January 2014 (to make with 5000 cap). We have asked our employers for ROA stating what we've earned for 2013 period.
I know technically we are qualified but since we don't have the NOA for 2013 makes me confused to proceed on submitting our application because of the 2010 issue. Should I proceed? or wait for 2013 NOA and submit it by 2015?
Please advise me. Thanks & regards to all.

Hi Everyone,

I have joined today to Canadavisa.com forum. Previously I was following thread offline. Here is my file details:

I have applied in July 2010 and still it shows "In Progress" online.

1. My Next step would be docs request and what kind of docs I should collect in advance and what other information should then can request so I can be ready once I got that?

2. I read about GMCS notes many times so How can I request GMCS notes and where to contact for it?

Thank you in advance for replaying.

No, but they can ask - I would prepare it just in case. My father visited US, 19 times and never more than 1 month and yet they ask FBI but I had it prepared

Hi,

CIC Website says that it takes 61 months at CHC New Delhi to process immigration application for parents.

It means it takes another 61 months after file is transferred to Local visa office i.e New Delhi. Is it correct?

Hello everybody. I applied for my parents in 03/2009 and in May 2012 file got transferred to ND.
They did medicals in Dec 2012 and send their passports,PCC and medicals in Dec 2012 as per the request of CIC.
On Dec 2,2013 the status changed to "In Process" and today my parents received a call from ND CIC office to come their for finger prints. Any body else have any such type of experience. or any body can suggest how much more we have to wait for DM.

Have they visited Canada before? if yes, then they do ask some for fingerprints for RCMP - unfortunately fingerprints from ND takes 3 months ( going by past answers )

Thanks for your reply. Yes they both visited Canada but they only ask for my mother's fingerprints only not for my father. They called them ND embassy office for that.

Hi guys,

I just summited the sponsorship for my parents and in the use of representative form, my dad (the principal applicant) has signed the form, i forgot to have my mom's signature on it. Will this considered an incomplete application and the whole thing will get returned? I am very worried now because its very hard to get in the 5,000 CAP if the application is returned.

The only reason that I need the representation form is I helped them to prepare and submit the application.

Have any of you have experience that missing a signature on the representative form resulted in a returned package?

Thanks a lot!
