Hey guys,

My brother sponsored my father in May 2008 and I was the accompanying dependent. We were requested for police clearance, passport and medicals which were completed and sent before 02nd august 2013. The online status now says that the medicals have been received (but that would only be for my father as his was an e-medical and my mom and I were paper medical, so I have no clue of our medical status). Is there anyone with a similar time frame?

I have to soon due to visa expiry (before Jan 2014) travel back to India from London and I plan to call back my passport in December. Has anyone called back the passport before? Would they be returning back only my passport? Also is it gonna cancel my application or only delay it further?

We have same time frames , Applied in may 2008 , completed all requests in june 2013 medicals, pcc and passports everything, ecase updated medical results have been received on 2nd july 2013

just wondering I see on many people mention their PPR request separate from their medicals. For my parents they requested PPR and Medical at same time. what is the difference?

Only the NewDelhi office requests passports and holds them forever...no idea why.

Other visa offices request passports when they're ready to issue visas/copr's.

the consulate in pakistan is doing it too. one of my friends parent's passport has been there for more than 6 months now. and he paid the ROLF twice cause they kept asking for it again and again even though he had paid it last year. the call center in canada adviced him to just pay it and get the file approved and then file a refund for one of the fees later on.

No hope .... Just a few days left for medical to expire, I had put an mp inquiry now but don't think that helps anyway.
It have to happen in this coming week or will be delayed way more.
Guys lets all having medical expire in October stay in loop.

we have recivd letter for my dads police service record ......dated 13 sept .....and our e status changed from application rcvd to in process on same date..........we send the information on 25th sept ..............medical date was 18 oct......

My case is similar to yours. I am the dependent came back from Ireland to submit pp. The difference is I sent all the docs on April 1st 2013 to ND and waiting since.

Re: timeline for application process!!!!!

I sponsored my parents and they submitted everything including passport, pcc, medical etc in end of may 2013. I asked through my local MP office about the latest status of our application in visa office New Delhi. They said officer have to review the file in october. Can anyone have an idea how far our case is to get visa? When can we expect stamps on our passport?
I really appreciate the coments.

We submitted PCC's, Medicals, and Passports on 1st April 2013 and are waiting since. MP said your file is to be reviewed in Oct but I guess that was the story with no strike action in consideration. It may be in the final stages but I must say this strike action has messed up all timelines. We just have to wait and hope for the best and hope to get visas at the earliest.
