Didn't ordered gcms yet
I believe background cheak is in process...
Well my question is what do the do in background cheak... And what's after that ...as our medicals will expire soon

IN MY CASE IN , OCT 15TH MEDICAL WHICH IS PASSED ,
AND THEN JANUARY 2013 BACKGROUND CHECK IS IN PROCESS ,
AFTER THAT , I THINK IT WAS COMPLETED IN APRIL OR JUNE ,,..
AFTER THAT NO COMMUNICATION ,,,......

Most, including me have the same - and if you notice other folks with GCMS notes, almost 90% if them have it saying not started or in process
If you look at Ranja's example on this thread, he had the same and 1-2 weeks later, he got visa so how can everything finish in 1 week
So there is lot of other things which go on which we don't see and they don't always update it timely

(Submit an original option c print out for the tax year that you submitted the original sponsorship application AND an original option c print out for the year before you submitted the application.The option c print out is required for the both tax years.)

ONE MORE QUESTION---my parents do not have their marriage certificate.Is it necessary ? Can we show other proof like joint bank account??

After dealing with CIC for 6-7 years we all know now that there is no set procedure that they have to follow. The CIC works in mysterious ways.
I see a lot of people had their medical done in OCT 2012. So let us pray for all, including 2008-2009 applicants.

Its not when meds were done, its per med expiry as per GCMS
So we got our Meds Done in Jan 18 2013, the expiry shows as Feb 22, 2014

So each individual case is different, need to look at GCMS and see when meds were actually done, when they reached Delhi and the expiry date

Marriage certificate is necessary. However, it is common that parents may not have them (back in their days, it may not have been mandatory to register a marriage). If marriage certificate is not available, your parents would have to submit an affidavit signed by a notary affirming that they had married on so-and-so date, place. In that affidavit, also provide the dates they were born and the details of their children.

Joint bank account will not help.
