At Present my parents visiting Canada and they are leaving to India in 3 weeks. What I have to fill in imm0008 for question 10. Current country of residence? Is it Canada and select visitor or India?

And in form 5669 do I have to enter all their visits to Canada for questions 8 and 12? your advice s greatly appreciated.

Good question, and from my experience - there is a possibility that they will do this unless you word it so that they can only give you status or time frame
Believe me, I have tried the same and my dilemma is very big ( I don't wanna share details ) but its one of those which can't get worse - simply asked Delhi how long will it take so we can decide on few things, and can't go to Indian Consulate to apply for new passport

I'd say leave it and miss the semester, why u wanna pay international student fees anyway

I need some help with Checklist, item#6 (for the Principal Applicant). I understand we need to submit the passport page showing the peronal detail information. At the bottom of item#6, it says

Submit photocopies of:
- current or expired entry/exit stamps in your national passport, and
- current or expired status documents indicating the date you were admitting and the validity.

Do I only submit the copy of the stamps/or documents that shows my parents have been lawfully admitted for at least a year? or it's a request for everyone to submit all the entry/exit stamps in the passport? I would appreciate to hear your experience. Thanks!

1. If your parents are not planning to stay with you in Canada longer than 3 weeks, I would put their current address as Canadian, but mailing address - the country of their residence. Also I would put requested visa office as your local one.

2. How many visit to Canada they have in total?

I am in my last step to sponsor my parents and today my parents recieved a request to submit passports, but they requested also to provide a proof that I am resident in Canada. In fact, I left Canada a year ago to live close to my parents as my home country isn't stable and I managed to find an expatriate job in the region. Now, I want to go and settle in Canada with my parents and I want to rent/buy a house once I arrive and then send the rental contract as a prove to my residence in Canada.

Is this sufficient? or do i need to be a resident of Canada all the time since the date I applied to sponsor them until now? any advice?

That is quite complicated. Hope our senior members can help. It sounds like they know everything about us and get all the information they want to to check how truthful we are.

they are here since feb2013 and leaving soon. So as per my understanding I have to put country of residence Canada as visitor?!!! in imm0008 for question 10.

In the past they visited canada in 2010, 2011 and 2012. so I am also including their visitor in history of residence in Imm5669 too.

yes, exactly right - Canada as a visitor, also as I remember in the form they ask - country, status, from, to. This way they will definitely know till what time you parents stayed in Canada and with you choosing the processing visa office as the country of residence one, they will sure figure out that your parents are not planning to extend their stay in Canada.

yes, include everything you can - it's always better to have more than they need than not enough.

Great news that they are still issuing some visas. Happy for you, though I wonder why they are messing up my case so badly. Just 7 days remaining for medicals to expire and no news.

I am not sure about your case. However, as far as my case is concerned, I did lot of follow-up with CPP-O through my MP's office and by myself.

I filled that fields from the date they landed and to the date they are leaving. U can't able to fill with letters other than digits as you have to validate and if u do it will give u error msg
