Its like any other HR app, all on the website where you have to put up the story, very very tough category ( we tried that in 2007 ), but it seems to be a good way of extending visa

I am trying to fill up forms and confused..

Here is my situation.

At Present my parents visiting Canada and they are leaving to India in 3 weeks. What I have to fill in imm0008 for question 10. Current country of residence? Is it Canada and select visitor or India?

And in form 5669 do I have to enter all their visits to Canada for questions 8 and 12? your advice s greatly appreciated.

Its India, residency has not been established in Canada since they are only visitors

I need some help with Checklist, item#6 (for the Principal Applicant). I understand we need to submit the passport page showing the peronal detail information. At the bottom of item#6, it says

Submit photocopies of:
- current or expired entry/exit stamps in your national passport, and
- current or expired status documents indicating the date you were admitting and the validity.

Do I only submit the copy of the stamps/or documents that shows my parents have been lawfully admitted for at least a year? or it's a request for everyone to submit all the entry/exit stamps in the passport? I would appreciate to hear your experience. Thanks!

This is if your picking a different country for processing OTHER than your country of nationality

they are here since feb2013 and leaving soon. So as per my understanding I have to put country of residence Canada as visitor?!!! in imm0008 for question 10.

In the past they visited canada in 2010, 2011 and 2012. so I am also including their visitor in history of residence in Imm5669 too.

Thats mostly in home country, not for visits ( we never included our 18 month stays ), only address changes in home country

I need another help here with the form IMM0008 - question 10. For those people whose parents are currently in Canada, how did you answer question 10 - Current Country of Residence? I'm not too sure what to put on the "to" date. I wanted to put 'present', but the system wouldn't allow me. Shall I just put the expiry date on my parents' entry stamp or visitor record? Please help. Thanks!

TO = Visa Expiry date, they know about it, you can write PRESENT after validation, doesnt matter

I got confused - how come their file was transferred to Ottawa then...

Like I said earlier, it is/was a pilot project - so even if you have New Delhi, Manila as your office/country of origin ( technically this is what you are supposed to pick ), your file could have gone to CPP-O UNLESS you are lawfully allowed in Canada for minimum 1 year ( not 6 months + 6 months ext ), ONLY then you can choose CPP-O, else it's luck of draw

Thus my suggestion to trick it, ie., have them come here in super visa or request a 1 year ext on current visitor so you can pick CPP-O, else you cannot

Hi everybody, could you advice please? I just received Additional document request, and realized I don't know and cannot find UCI number in the CIC letter. I only have File #, but format is different, it is F000000000, not 0000-0000.

At what point UCI is assigned and what to put on in IMM 0008?

UCI is available who had visitor visa extended before, if you don't have it, leave blank

If you check your document check list, tht is last requirement that we have to provide mailing labels - 2 in English or French and 2 in the official language of your country. In my application the mailing address is my address in Canada so I print 4 in English.

Do it as formality, yet to see anyone talk about this being mailed in language of country

That's understandable, but in our case, for example, if we manage to extend or apply by H&R, my Mother will stay here with us for uncertain period of time. So how to put her mailing address as her citizenship address, as there will be no one to receive mail due to her not being there. She is the only one who has left in her country of origin to live.

Hi user828... It seems u just got a chance to check the forum. U r shooting all answers for the questions from all day. I really appreciate the way you are helping fellows.

Well I talk to my lawyer today morning and he guided me to put Canada and visitor in imm0008. As even they are on visitors visa their present residence is Canada. For 5669 also it's clearly mentioned in tht doc tht if we ar travelling we have to mention tht time period. From trackitt forum few ppl did the something. I don't know which one is best way either to put home country or current country. But it seems it didn't hurt the ppl who filled in either ways.
