Yes they dont update everything as diligently, you can try the fax but IMO, send email with URGENT in subject
What happened with phone call?

Call didn't go to voice mail, it was automated recording.....I send them email with urgent subject, but no reply yet. However, called MP office and he was kind enough to listen to my concern. He informed that its quite possible that they haven't update yet. He said it takes over a month sometime for letters to reach on officer's desk and that's the time when they update ur file.....Well, he took my number n said that he will get an update.....hoping for best....

called lvo again, the lady refused to transfer me anywhere. she said since i have no proof that the passport has been mailed already i will just have to wait as sometimes they do not send the passport right away after decision being made.

hope i get my gcms notes soon which will help sort this mess up.

I have a problem . When I filed for my parents PR in May 2011 , I created email Ids for them , i dont remember the ids now .
I heard from forum that CIC sends the medical requests over email , so what should I do .

Also my parents travel back and forth so I dont know if they should stay in india once the file is transferred to Newdelhi .

I would realy appreciate your response .

It would matter when they start the process and ask to fill the actual IM0008 form, where you can specify the current email. Its luck of the draw, file could be sent to Ottawa where you will be saved against the wrath of New Delhi office
If I were you, I would get them here on Super visa or have a 2 year extension from a regular visit visa, then you can legitimately ask for US office in the form as they are allowed to live for more than 1 year. This way, file will 99% move to CPP-O and the process can be done internally ( this is off course if they have retired and live here for extended period )

I had exact same case. I called cic mississauga. they changed my email id and phone no on file. Tell them your file which you get it by mail.

When they start to process the file ( hasn't started for 2010+ applicants ), they will ask you to fill the actual forms your parents need to fill ( called IMM 0008 and others ) which has space for email - all communication will be done to that one

I got some update for my file. It shows "decision made' and it says a decision is made on xyz file and our office will contact you regarding this decision. So do I assume that they finally got visas? How long will it take?

Do you have dependents ?
