lol the fantastic news is on the cis web where we see the processing time

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm/fc-parents.asp

if that the case I will say good luck to all :-[

hai did any dependent who were over age of 22 when apply got visa here ? as I think so far I haven't herd of any only see the rejections no good news .

With that 56 months time line, dependants over 22 would be over 30 and would have studied so much that they can qualify to get crème jobs in India itself
In reality, its not 56 months, it was 36 before that and a straightforward case is around 1 year
Most of us whose files are in ND since last year will get it finalized in next 3-4 months and the delay would be for those who have dependants over 22 who they suspect and folks who need to go trhough DNA testing, re-med cases - these will drag along for extra 3-4 maths
The new crop of 2013 onwards might be longer than before, but not 56 months

Hi Sakamath,

My mother is on Supervisa and the medicals were done in Canada, they did not update the medicals on Ecas, due to which I was worried. The medicals were done on 22 Nov. 2012. I contacted the family physician, who called me on later date stating that the medicals have been received at Ottawa. It the ND Centre who have to update on the system. On or two times I called CIC people to confirm about the medicals and they also confirmed that the medicals are received by the CIC office. On the GCMS Notes it states medicals received on January 29,, 2013.

Just it is wait and watch game for all of us.

My folks did meds in Canada too on Jan 18th - it changed it GCMS to passed, this is how it displays and done by Ottawa

that 56 months start after new delhi receive the package, not from the time you applied in canada.

Actually, it is 56 months from the date LVO says they received the file on their AOR. For most, if not all, the date they mention is the date the application was received in Canada. In my case, the file was transferred some time in March 2012 while the date application received (for PR) is mentioned as Oct 2008. Hope that should clear the matter.

Only thing I can add to this discussion is that the time change is based on past application processing not what is expected in future. So hopefully the effect of putting a halt on accepting new applications is yet to show up. I am waiting since 2007 but I do see people from late 2008 and early 2009 getting visa already from ND.

E-Cas Status changed to "Medical Results Received" yesterday. Rajaji, please update the timeline for Deekay09-2.
Medicals Done: February 28, 2013
Status Change: May 13, 2013

Congrast Raju! :)

We have dependents on file, they were below 22 when sponsorship was sent to Miss. Now one of them is over 22.
They're still enrolled in universities and not expected to finish for 2-3 yrs at least and plan to do masters also (in Europe).
So they're students still, hopefully they will be able to get PR and contribute in Canada along with rest of the family.

We were asked for some detailed "personal history" of parents 2 months after file transfer. We sent the info by email right away.
Originally we had sent only last 10 years, but they wanted history since parents turned 18 yrs. Sent info right away by email.

Nothing after that. Not sure what's going on, we have ordered the GCMS notes.
Hopefully we can get medicals soon. But it sure is a long wait for us.
