It is going to be 5 years in June 2013... How long we have to wait?????
exactly....unless we get united and speak then and then only we are going to get a +ve outcome, otherwise keep waiting for indefinite time. Either do something or keep suffering. I wonder how can some people say with confidence (even without trying) that contacting media, mp or signing petition will not avail result???!!!! These authorities know that no one is going to say anything except grumble so take as much time as they can.
Seriously now is high time to get something done

Raju bhai, through experience and past activities. Rather than beating the drum here, kindly start the petition ( take help of a prefessional for drafting it ) which you wish and folks will join up :D

User is right Chinese did it for years they have filed petition, rallies did and doing it but nothing happened. We are somewhat fortunate that CIC stop the further applications which makes our faster. This painful process won't change like I said before that this has to do with bureaucracy the red tape etc. Even when liberal was around it was same the only difference betweent them that liberal mp listen and care.
if one person does and dont get success that doesnt mean other will also fail, CIC stopped taking case to make our faster??? In Nov 2013 it will be 2 years and hardly 10 - 15 % cases are cleared.
When CIC is charging application processing fee, they are bound to complete file in a stipulated time.
Simple logic is when a fee is charged for a service, there is a stipulated time frame to complete the process. Already they have taken more time then required and still they keep on dragging our case for nothing.

...what you say is for clearing the approval process from Canada which they did, the overseas aspect still remained as per their timeline my friend. Thus Kingdom ND has the placard of 36 months even though it takes 8-14 months avg, so there is no case here. Every MP inquiry has the same response, in order to make change there - it needs some major shake up in policy. That requires a magnanimous effort

P.S - Forget ND, folks from Islamabad, S'pore are here too - imagine their speed

i m not saying about clearing the approval process......i am talking about whole process, and by the way where ever CHC office is, it is a centralized governing body, so if immigration minister finalizes a timeframe to complete the whole process, then the file will be cleared in that time frame, doesnt matter where the file is - at ottawa, India, Pakistan, Singapore etc......and this absolutely makes sense.
If we keep on giving our expert advice and comments over here and don't unite we will be kept waiting for sure. And we have to think who is suffering from this delay.....by thinking this point we will get motivation to do something, rather than wait or give advice to beat drum :)

Guys,,dont get divided on different opinions...Stay United..stay Relaxed...results will come when time comes...user828 is right that time frame is 36 months in ND and they are processing in 8-14 months..

Did you get a letter suggesting it was closed or you are assuming it is closed as the 1 month passed? I suggest to write a case specific email to ND saying that you were just handed the letter ( you have to come up with some story about the delay ) and then reply back to the letter. I missed the deadline too but then it worked out so don't give up so soon. Yet to see your reply about the delay but these run of the mill consultants are typically useless

Much more practical for older apps such as late 2007, 2008 and some of 2009 but I wonder how it's even possible when they are still approving apps for late 2009 - its not gonna be done till Nov 2013. You would like to believe that due to centraized system, things would be same everthing but it's never the case. Eg., Islamabad spouse case takes 2 years + whereas the same app takes 9 months or so for Indian app, same goes for PGP as it all depends on Local VO and on that same tune, CIC call centre refuses to entertain any calls when you mention the file is overseas
Look, there were many protests done for PGP case by sponsorourparents.org and some other university writer - the fact that they opened PGP with this 2 year pause is actually considered a very big action by the Minister, despite the majorty of the public refusing it. So whatever it is now, is actually their reply to the orginal protest, and their esponse to this process is - we got it approved and now is the regualr wait time from LVO.
Thus, in this wait time, some of us are trying to help with advice, expert comments et broadcast :D

It would be best to order GCMS notes and see where your file progress is, if our friend Sandy would have done that, he wouldn't be facing high BP since he got the missing letter news. Technically, his consultant was supposed to do all these things
