I think you should not have trouble now as almost 5 months passed since you sent document so it is true here as User828 told " No News is Good News".

I am little nervous and hoping to get passports with magic sticker.

An update...My canadian adress disapperred today and left is only indian mailing address now, after decesion made last Thursday. What does this means??

I agree, have the same - but this info was floating on Spouse thread. I wondered the same, if my due date is 15th March for eg, and my stuff reached them on 5th, would anyone take a look at it or the system will prompt only on 15th and this could be coincidence but when I sent my paperwork which reached on 5th and my due date was 15th, my address change in ecas happened on 15th - which kind led me to believe that they opened on 15th itself

I am actually surprised that your single mother case is so simply and yet it's taken this long

I agree, 1st if nothing received by that date they set new date. However, even if u mail it & gets delivered earlier still it takes 2-6 weeks to process & forward it to officer. He will still set new date, if he does not see it in the system.

They don't check earlier than that date. I remember had to email CIC & let them know Medicals were received & then he updated to decision made.

You will receive letter for meds request and possibly passport

Good one - but he is from CPP-O, a totally different way of working as opposed to ND - ND will update when its done plus apple talk had his file goto India, then back so its the not the same case

File never left CPP-O office, medicals were done here. Got initial reply from CPP-O that once Medicals are received will review the case by CIC officer. So Once I see "Medicals Received", emailed back CIC-O & in 2 days turned into DM. Send another email after 1 week about PPR, got reply back from same officer that he has submitted our file for PPR processing & got PPR 2 days later by email & stamp 1 week later.

did some on this forum was asked to appear for fingerprinting on 2nd april at Newdelhi?

and just need to know if some have previously done fingerprinting in india...how to contact RCMP in next few weeks for the status...previously i read we need a consent letter from the applicant...us being the sponsor.....is there a consent form somewhere?

once done, RCMP sends them results ( as far as we could tell from past experience ), takes 3 months since its not electronic

Did read somewhere that some parent did fingerprinting in India, validated it and send to Canada and got validated here and sent to RCMP, got results in 1 week and sent to ND directly but has to been done before Interview

we contacted RCMP in mid feb, which was 3 months after the fingerprints were taken at ND.

we had consent signed frm my mother-in-law to do inquiry on her behalf and attached with email tht we sent.

No, they dont ask u any questions and wont tell u anything either.

however, i read it somewhere (dont remember this site or other), where the user knw (thru MP inquiry) tht her parents r going to b asked for fingerprints. so she proactively asked her parents to send fingerprints to her, got them converted into electronic ones thru some company in Calgary and then submitted to RCMP.
This route wud b much faster as u can choose the courier service for fast delivery and processing time is 3-4 business days for electronic fingerprints compared to 18 wks for paper ones.

You mentioned consent letter... Do you have a format of that letter ...if you can please send that to me ...
