Hey, my mom was visited me in 2011 for 5 1/2 months. I didn't send any travel history form. I guess it says if more than 6 months, then we need to, m I right?

Did you fill up the case specific form for New Delhi? See the link below:
www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/guides/E33029.PDF
It states:
2. Please list all the countries that you visited and that you have lived in outside of India. If this is not
applicable, please enter "N/A":

It does not state any timelines like "more than 6 months" or "since 18 years of age"

Note: This is applicable if the file is processed in New Delhi not Ottawa.

I know you asked user828 but ill chip in anyways.

i think your timeline is normal. we (me, gaggi and a few others) have applied 3 months ago and do not have in process status yet. I suggest just wait a few more weeks, but then again there is no harm in ordering GCMS. your call.

Hi, our mom is here with us in Canada and she has been in Canada already a few years. do we need to obtain Canadian police certificate as well?
thanks.

I just filled those, were mentioned in the letter. But I remember in one form, It says "during the past 5years have u lived in any other country other than ur country of citizenship or ur current country of residence, for more than 6months". So chose "no". However, it asked date and place of last entry to Canada, which I filled with exact info. It was in Generic application form for Canada.

That form is the main IMM0008. And yes, there you have to select No and leave the details blank (in your case).

Canadian PCC is required only if CIC asks for it, otherwise, it is not required.

thank you for your reply. do they usually ask for it (if they do) in additional documents request or they request it separately during the process?

My friend also had same, it was requested in Oct. I told him to email CPP-O for update, week later got decision made. So email CPP-O & ask for update?

travel history? military record? police record of them, takes longer time.

Hi guys,

still no update for me :(
