Same here - "Application Received" and does not even say " Medicals received". Its been more than 2 months since medicals were done and passports mailed. So frustrating. I am planning to order GCSM notes after March 8th to see whats happening.

Well, I have an odd update on my ecas. It states In-Process "We have started processing your application on Feb 14th" (this is exactly 2 months after CIC received the medicals). However, there is no mention of "Medicals Received". Bracing for further medicals or worse...

No News from My side either....But I just send an address change request two days back of my home change in Canada and checking status to see when they will change the address on my E Cas....Currently it is showing my (representative/sponser) old home address and indian mailing address with In process status and Medical received.

Need some help plse.

I have sponsored my mother and the application is in its final stages of processing.

Initially she indicated that her spouse ( my stepfather ) would not be accompanying her.
Circumstances have changed and she wishes to have him accompany her to Canada.

Here is my question..

Is it possible to change an existing family class sponsorship application to include my stepdad?
Or because my application to sponsor my mum alone is quite advanced into the process, am I going to have to submit a new application to sponsor my stepdad?!
Or
Wait for my mum to be granted her permanent residency and have her put in for a spousal sponsorship for him?!

Plse help with my options.

I would place my bet on maintaining the status quo till your mother receives the visa and then your mother should sponsor your step father. Since (most likely) his name was included as non-accompanying spouse, he is still eligible to be sponsored by your mother.

Including your step father in this late stage could push your mother's application way back in the line or in the least delay it.

In the same boat with you. Its been we started processing your application on Nov 27 2012 with medical recived.
No updated after that and the worst part is CPP ottawa cannot be accessed by the toll free number

it just means someone is working on your file. this is a glitch in the system that happens when they are opening your file.
