I do not think you can bring motorcycle (Royal Enfield) from India to Canada. It probably won't meet requirements of importing a motor vehicle.

that sucks... i was so looking forward to bring a bike from india...
but I've seen ppl bring cars from other countries... example Nissan skyline (right side steering)

A. Options: Spouse, Common-Law partner, Conjugal Partner, Child, Grandchild, Parent, Adoptive Parent, Other

If a parent (principal applicant) is sponsored by child, What is the correct answer?

This form has to be filled by a person who is sponsoring.... In question 6 they are asking for sponsors relation to principal applicant...... I hope this helps......

you can bring a motorcycle from india to Canada. get it shipped and then declare at the airport. they will give you the necessary paperwork so that there is no trouble when it finally arrives at the port.

the royal enfield adheres to the canadian emission standards and will pass.

on a side note, there are tons of bikes available in canada that are far more suitable for canadian conditions. royal enfield is too small for the highway and is not very comfortable for the long smooth drives here.

edit: and you are correct about not having to pay taxes.

I was thinking of buying the enfield last year but settled on a suzuki boulevard instead, much heavier and stronger bike. like i said before, enfield is not a great bike, the only reason we still want it for purely sentimental reasons. I miss my sports enfield too but honestly i would not get on the highway here on it. it would be blown away by the air drafts from big trucks.

also the insurance cost of motorcycles here in canada is ridiculously high. for someone new to the country it would be crazy high, not sure what your financial situation is but thought I should throw that out there just in case you decide to go through all the hassles to get your bike here. might not be worth it imho.
