CIC approved me with income 17k $ (student scholarship) for three persons (me and my parents). But I amnot sure if Quebec also will approve this salary. I thought when CIC says yes, then Quebec is fine too, but it seems that I am in trouble now :(

That is indeed surprising. Did you report your income as 17K or was it different at the time of application???

Any suggestion from past history, once Case shows as "Decision Made" in eCas & file is in CPC-O, how long to expect passport request & visa after that.

Hi, I have a question regarding my status and was wondering if anybody can guide me:

I live in Quebec and applied for my parents sponsorship in 2007 when I had a full-time job. Finally CIC contacted me for more documents two months ago while I did not hold my full time job anymore and was a full time student now. I submitted my documents with all student-income proofs and was not sure to get the CIC approval for my low income. But thanks God that last week I heard positive news from CIC and my application was approved by federal government and they wrote me to submit my application as sponsor to MICC for financial evaluation and CSQ for my parents. But as I mentioned I do not meet the minimum required salary anymore.

1- I was wondering whether this will result in rejecting my application by MICC?

On the other hand, I am graduating within a few months (by June-July), and I have a potential job offer to start after finishing my study(stated in the letter).

2-Now my question is does this count as potential job (its salary will be counted), or I need to have the job/salary right now that I am submitting to MICC?

3- what happens if I do not submit my application to MICC until I finish my study and get a job (e.g:4-5 months)? As there was no deadline mentioned in the CIC approval letter for submitting my documents to MICC?

Your help and any information is appreciated.

Hi,

I am also sponsoring my in-laws from Quebec.
If you sponsor your parents from Quebec, your financial capacity is checked by MICC Quebec(Not by CIC-M).
You don't even need to show your income to CIC-M(In my case, I wrote "Sponsor living in the province of Quebec"). Once CIC-M approves your sponsorship, we can apply to MICC for CSQ(Quebec Selection Certificate). This is
where they will check your income for the last year and current year. If you meet with LICO for Quebec, they will issue your CSQ.
Quebec's income requirement is higher than CIC-M.

Hope it will help.

Bye

Thanks for writing, I think spouse sponsorship is easier than parents. CIC asked for all my past five years income, paystubs and employment letter, even my bank statements both credit and debit. i sent them 2 kg of papers.
But I think you are right, this is the MICC that makes the decision not the CIC. You think taking a lawyer may help?

I applied in 2007 with 25k income. Do you think If I get a lawyer it may make a difference? I have waited for more than five years to get my parents here and really do not want to lose this chance just because of being a student. :(
AS you said if I wait for this 4-5 months to finish my study and get a job then apply for MICC,is it OK, as my parents' application is already sent by CIC to theit Visa office and I am afraid when it comes to processing their application for issuing visa and there was not MICC they may reject it.
Please suggest me a way, you think lawyers can help?

Hi,

It doesn't matter(For Sponsor living in Quebec ONLY) what your income was when you submitted your application to CIC-M. But, you must have enough income, when you apply to MICC for CSQ.
I think lawyer can't help you much because you don't satisfy MICC's requirement.
When you submit your application to MICC, you have to send copy of Notice of Assessment from Revenu Quebec for the last taxation
year, Copy of all T4, RL slips used in the tax return, Job letter showing your income for current year.
The income in the last year's tax return must be over the MICC's required income (based on your family and sponsored person's family) and it must maintain the requirement for current year too.

Bye,

He gave his address but they should have emailed me

Hi to All,

Last week the e-cas status changed to 'Medical Results Have Been Received' in my parents case. Yesterday I got an e-mail requesting additional documents showing the proof of relationship between me (sponsor) and my dad (pa). At the time of application, I provided an affidavit in support of my birth certificate (missing my name) with Notary's oath. Still they want a copy of my indian passport and school leaving certificate. I am going to send these documents today itself. Btw they have given me 60 days to submit these documents.

My question to forum members is, how much time CIC take for pp request after submitting these documents? When they will review my parents file again? Is it full 60 days or they will address the issue as & when they will receive these documents?

Please share your experience with CIC. Thanks.
