Hi guys,

I sponsored my parents on 14 June 2007. The medicals were requested on 2nd January, 2012 and they it was done on 24th January. Until now we have not heard anything.
My father lived in Dubai all his life and he provided the PCC from Dubai and Pakistan both. Now my family resides in Pakistan and the case is in LVO Islamabad. About a month back, the ecas status changed to "in process" from being "Application received".

Do you people think they will let the medicals expire? :'(

Hi everyone!
I am new here I hope someone can answer my questions?
My common-law-partner and I have a PR status and living in calgary.we both plan to sponsor our parents. Can we file 2 different applications? Can we file it both at the same time?
Second, is it possible that our parents can sponsor our siblings if they are already here?

Thanks.

Hi Dax45,

Parent visa closed until 2014-15 and no one know how they are going to open with new rules. You have to check it when they will re-open. And as I know you have to file 2 applications at that time. and for siblings it depends on their age and new changed rules.

There is temporary pause for 24 months since Nov 5,2011, on applications to sponsor parents and grandparents. CIC is not accepting new applications. Both of you can ask your parents to apply for Super Visa instead. Click on the link below for more information

Hopefully you will hear before that. Did your parents receive the request to submit the passports? When was the file transferred to LVO?

Should be in 2-3 days, if CIC communicates via email to you. By regular mail PPR letter, it could be up to 7-8 days.
