It may come about to be $190-220 dollars (approx.) per month of savings/tax credits.

This could be another reason why CIC wants our parents to land in later part of the year, so that Canadian government has to provide lesser dollars in tax credits for that year.
so for eg if parents come to Canada in june, you can claim approx $1400 (200/month), so do we get 1400$ as refund, correct me if i am wrong or i understood wrong

cesca, Andrei_T, rajmalhotra7, kandel: thank you very much!!!

rajmalhotra7: :D :D Yeeees, the famous tax credit due to an old person we are in charge with...
It has been 5 years (and 5 income tax declarations) since I've first noticed this tiny line and kept dreaming that one day I will be able to use it....

P.S. Taking a closer look to the COPR, I noticed a 'Medical file' area, and a 'Monitoring code'.
In French: 'Dossier medical' and 'Code de surveillance'.
My mom's code is 11.
Do you happen to know what does it mean?
In the letter accompanying the PP, I read that codes 2.02 and 2.04 imply an extra monitoring sheet of paper to be sent by the embassy.

@ habibmanzoor75- Yes I received AOR from ISD and they asked us to submit documents if not submitted earlier. I submitted PCC, Supllementary information form and provided copies of all other documents submitted earlier. Some members on this forum are submitting once again the same forms. Have you received AOR yet?

Seems like you got the application transferred in June 2012 to ISB. When did yo get the AOR.

Our file was transferred in Oct and I am still waiting for the AOR. One more thing, since my parents are here so our address in here in Canada. I think that may add some mailing time....I am wondering how to check in case AOR stuck in the mail.

Yeah, I haven't received any AOR (no email or regular mail) from New Delhi till now. I have sent them messages few times asking why was a AOR not sent and they haven't responded.

Hmm ok thanks jaggudada.

I got AOR in September......you may expect to receive it in December or January.
Do you have any dependants on your file?

Sorry my apologies. The savings would be around $900 for a year so, roughly 75 dollars a month. Please discard my earlier posted figures of $190-220.

If you want, I can post calculations. calculations are complex though

GAME, SEt and MATCH!!!!

We got yesterday evening my mom's passport (at a FedEx sorting facility) and all of a sudden, we decided to go south, to US border, in order to proceed to flagpoling.
We arrived around 8:00 p.m., a unique lane to US was open.... but the line was counting 1 (one) car...

The whole procedure :
- STEP1: getting refusal entry in US
- STEP2: being returned to Canada
- STEP3: do the landing in CA
- STEP4: do the Customs too: as we said there are gonna be personal items to come from origin country

... took exactly 1 hour.

Short and smooth. We were the sole car in the parking and the sole clients in both buildings.
So I would suggest to someone interested into doing it, to go late evening (main crossborders are open 24/7 and even smaller ones are open till midnight)

I still cannot believe: after exacty 5 years and 3 months.

I would like someone to update (.. and to put it in green ;D) my timeline: Status in now COMPLETE, and the visa was issued on 08 November.

Thank you all for your support and the valuable informations you provided. Good luck & Fingers cross for your parents too.

Wow That's Great....Congratulations Kerria

To my knowledge, your file is in the queue and waiting for an officer to review. May be that is the reason why PCC information was not appearing in the notes.
