Today morning around 4.00 A.M. my Dad call from back home and said they received papers and passport with stamp from CIC. I told my Dad to send all the papers scan copy right away and i received all the copy here now.

CIC given one year to come here in Canada.

Regards

congrats! i would have to say that you are very lucky. I applied in Aug 2007 and still waiting...

Medical was requested on 19th June 2012, it was submitted on 29th june. Since then there is no update on ecas...

In the email they mentioned "PLEASE NOTE: If your medical results are sent to Ottawa instead of the responsible medical office, the file will be forwarded to the responsible medical office, causing further delays. "

DMP sent the medicals to Local medical office in New Delhi, however my parents file was transferred to Ottawa... Can someone please advise me if medical was correctly sent to local responsible medical office?

Any help will be highly appreciated!! Thanks....

Many Congratulations to all of who got Visas and Good Luck for people who are waiting for it !!!

Hi Everyone

I have a quick question please. I got couple of weeks ago a letter from Immigration Canada that I am qualified to sponsor my mom and that her file was transferred back home where she lives. However, today I got email from CCP-O asking for medical to be done within 30 days from todays date. Does that mean my mother's file is at LVO or CCP-O?? I am totally confused.

Thanks Everyone

Would you share your complete timeline please? When did you submit the documents?
How much time it took between acknowledgment of documents letter to the approval of sponsorship from CPC-M?

Thanks.

yes, medicals were correctly sent to a local medical office... my medicals were also send to a local medical office and case is in Ottawa...

Congratulations Rick2007! Hope your parents would enjoy their stay with you.

So it seems the CIC is more-or-less following the original application submission date order while issuing visa. And like I had guessed earlier, having the files transferred to Ottawa or LVO should not have more than a few months of difference. When CPC-M said they would process the applications in the order of additional docs received, now it seems, that they meant it only for the sponsorship approval process. The visa issuing process would still follow the original app date time line (again more or less - complications in documents can affect the process and CIC won't hold the queue for a few applications).

Having said that, people who got approved as sponsors before the Nov letter (mostly these are 2007 applicants), I don't think a lot of them have got the visas yet. Hopefully, LVO-ND would clear this clog too.

I disagree with this. Still a lots of people from 2007 applicant after Nov 2011 in ND like Raju.ND follow the sequence from the date they recieved the file from CPC-M. True about the complexity, File with dependent is delayed (like Veru). Positive thing is once they start processing, it becomes faster due to new process (As we already fill all forms and send almost all doc in Nov2011).

My time-line is already on the excel spreadsheet. A letter was sent on Aug 24 to me first saying I am approved to sponsor my mother and that her file was transferred back home, On Sept 10 I got email from CPP-O requesting medical. Does that mean that my mom's file is at CPP-O or LVO. Does the medical request always comes from CPP-O even though the file is back home?? I need to know where should the medical results be forwarded to (LVO or CPP-O), can somebody help please??

Thanks

i believe that medicals request usually comes from the office working on your case - so it looks like you case was transferred to Ottawa instead of LVO
does your medical request specify where medicals should be send? i believe that recent medicals requests specifically ask to send medicals to a local medical office - not to Ottawa...

FANTASTIC news, congrats!!

Write to them that your father has requested for PCC from India (through Indian Embassy in London0 and it would take longer time (45-60) days for the PCC to be received, because your father lived in India a long time ago. Also, as soon as you receive PCC from India, you will be submitting to the office.
