Not quite true po. There are quite a few medical cases that were rejected. Some of them are from the Philippines. This thread, po, is for everyone coming from all around the world. Most of us here will have trouble understanding TAGALOG. The other thread you are following is specific to Manila visa office.

About the enlarged heart case, we have one member here who had similar case and he/she already posted what the parent did to complete the medical. It was not that worst po.

After reading the above case, I could not sleep whole night and kept having nightmares. THANKFULLY!! this morning my parents e-case shows 'medical received'. :) after more than 3 months.

checked out spreadsheet, and it does not show anything, looks that some info is missing again :(

It depends in the officer giving the extensions. We had no problems when we apply by mail and got 1 year both times, but when we came back from one week vacation outside Canada the officer at the airport gave us a hard time, questioning for almost one hour, we practically begged her to give her the extension, even though she just had gotten one year extension.

Thank you for your reply. Just one more question - does you mom have a multiple entry visa or she is visa exempt?

Looks like majority of apps are from India and Philippines. I know we have a large exodus here, but culturally it is untold aspect of our lives to take care of folks. I feel very awkward when people talk about "elderly homes" and how is it's a privilege to sponsor parents. This thought process have ballooned this process up and made it so painstaking.

Parents sponsor should be no different than spouse sponsor, especially for someone who is the only child

** Just a soft rant till we pass our time and move from the regular ecas check ups **

Why are we coming back to this topic again? It has been discused already and if you would like to discus it furter please, please create another tread... We all from different cultures, but we all love our parents and seems we like Canada as well, but this seems to be very touchy subject. Please lets not go back to it in this particular tread. Thank you all.

By the way, still no update on the letter. Will let you know as soon as I hear something.

No harm at all...as long as no one takes it personally and converts this wonderful forum to a boxing ring.

Agree with Mockava.
In my culture, it also very common to care for elderly parents.
BUT!!! we all knew how Canada views parents sponsorship. We knew about societal differences. it was OUR choice to immigrate here. We could have stayed home with parents.
So guys let's just keep conversation to the point!

It was a simply a rant out of impatience. I have deleted the posting

Any people here who submitted documents to CPC-M in the month of July?

Still waiting for aor/approval since re-submission in july, but originally submitted in May which were stamped but returned for signature issue.

Wondering how long it would take this time to get an aor or approval.

Anyone else in the same boat?
