I just checked my ecas (using parents file #, the one starting with an F). It changed from last week. For quite a long time prior to now it showed my parents home address but it was messed up - country name was missing, some numbers and street name were merged etc - i.e. looked like either careless retyping or maybe OCR recognition screwed up a bit (if they scanned the forms).
By the way, I put my address (not parents) as mailing address in all the forms (IMM008 and use of rep) so I was concerned also why my parents address is showing up (apart from it being screwed up :-) )

Anyway, it was showing on my parents file for quite a while like that (ever since I got the 'application complete' letter - the one they sent before the sponsor approval letter). I asked the agent once over the phone about that and she said not to worry - they will fix it when they get to processign the application.

TOday I checked the status and it now changed to MY address showing up as mailing address (which is how I intended it), so looks like someone touched our application. Not sure if it was the LVO or Ottawa or Mississauga - I do not even know anmore where our application is (as the agent recently told me that it looks likeour case is now 'in transit' back to Ottawa while initially it was transferred to LVO as per the approval letter).

How you check the status using your parents information? The AOR i got from CPC-M when my file was transferred to LVO has UCI and APPLICATION starting with F0000XXXXX. UCI works with my information and APPLICATION doesn't work with my parents information. Is there any other way that I can check the status using my parents information?

in IDENTIFICATION TYPE - SELECT IMMIGRATION FILE NUMBER /APPLICATION NUMBER, UNDER SURNAME / FAMILY NAME - PUT SURNAME OF YOUR PARENT THEN YOUR PARENTS DOB AND PLACE OF BIRTH.....THEN YOU WILL SEE DETAILS of your parents, hope this helps

Hi all:

I received the letter today!
My file has been transferred to Ottawa.

Do you know how long it will take to get medical request from Ottawa?
From the excel file, it seems like about 1~2 months.

Thank you!

/c o and then my address means you are rep. for your parents file, and all communication will be done with you....that's my understanding. in my case also it shows c/o and then my name and address

That is what I am hoping for (I just heard that some people had issues with their use of representative forms not recorded or something like that - somehow they did not get recorded as reps even though they submitted the forms).

Hi gaggidhillon, The "Application Number" can be found on the letter you may have received when your sponsorship was approved by CPC-M. Its at the top just below your uci number. AOR is sent by the local visa office - usually in an email - stating that the lvo has received the application for PR. This too contains the file number and your parent's UCI. Are you sure you are referring to this Aor?

I did the same. Put Application No. F0000XXXXX number under File number/Application Number and used my Dad's information to access it.But it doesn't work.

Welcome to the forum. I've add your timeline to the online spreadsheet. (See the link in the signature section on my post). Use the link on your signature too. Update the sheet as and when you receive information from CIC so that it is shared with all the members and we get an idea of the process that CIC follows.

If you make any updates to the sheet, do not forget to go through the remarks on the top row of the sheet!

Thanks and join the waiting game!

thanks, will do! -:)

Hi Guys! Quick question.. When the time comes for the medical exam for parents sponsorship, is it re quired to get them done in your home country? (the V.O. who's handleling your case?).
Or they can be done anywhere as long as they are CIC designated Medical Practitioners?

Thank you for ur answers!! :)
