Do you have the file number for the Application of PR (of your parents)? Some recent posts indicate that though they received a letter stating that their file was sent to LVO, they are receiving communications from Ottawa. So, it is best to wait and see where your file is. Receipt of AOR from local office or any other communication (other than CPC-M), should give you an idea where your file is. It is at this place you can send the PCC. It should be accepted.

No, they are valid for a year. Only, the date on the PCC should not be less than 3 months than the date on the IMM008 form.

I have no reason to believe that CIC (at the LVO or Ottawa) would not accept PCC where a file has been transferred for onward processing.

Thanks, very helpful information,

So if the date on the IMM008 is Jan28,2012 and the date on the police certificate is July 15 , 2012, i should be fine??

GCMS would not speed up but please keep us posted if you guys find something. But true is we are stuck in LVO backlog. I have always bad luck. I am sept 2007 applicant where CIC did stop for long time. I lost my father during this and I am now stuck in LOV. I am stuck in my life, invest so much time in this country can't think go back neither stay without family. Feel being discriminated and hopless in this fk,in waiting game.

When CPC-M sent out letters for additional docs in Nov 2011, they had recommended applicants to start taking steps to get the PCC and pay the RPRF fees too. I believe, in subsequent batches, this was not included.

i really didnt bother waiting or checking to make sure the dates on IMM form and PCC are good. when I received the letter in Nov 2011 to send additional documents i already had told me dad to prepare for PCCs and they were done by Feb 2012 ( the last PCC - had to order PCCs for 2 different countries). the IMM form already had a date of Jan 2012 i think. I had sent it all the additional documents in Feb 2012 and then I sent the PCCs separately in April 2012. last time when i checked with CIC they said they received them on April 16th and included with the package.
if they ask for it again I will have to request for PCCs again thats all.

hello everyone........... hope you all doing fine..... well i need to know some information if anyone can help me i ll appriciate it..
actually we re in the case for parmenet residence in canada ... nd my medicals nd police certificates are done in 2011 october... now we re supposed to recieve the passport request but cic islamabad called us nd give the date for interview .... now anyone know anything like what they will ask in the interview? this is really irritating to wait more for the visa :(

Hi Rabi1..It depends on 1- Is it for your parents only? 1-upon number of dependants, 3-their ages 4- their education. They may ask the principal applicant questions about sponsor....what is he doing?...for how long he is Canada?. This just my opinion.

RR

Hi Rabi1:

If you had applied under the family class sponsorship (Parents and Grandparents), then the interview would more likely focus on your relationship with the person sponsoring you and your likelihood of settling in Canada without any issues. Expect questions about the person sponsoring you and be prepared to take the originals of all the documents (of which you had submitted the copies).

For family class sponsorship, if Immigration Canada requests an interview for applicants, which mean CIC have to clarify some information or they do have some concerns, e.g. biological relationship. CIC noticed some fraud cases by claiming family members. For example, some applicants claim their little cousins, nieces, nephews as their own children in the application and brought them over to Canada (especially for certain communities). Last year, my friend received the DNA request for their youngest daughter by CIC.

For parents with common-law partners (secondary marriage or live together), questions can be asked to verify their relationship because they are sponsoring more than one person.

Immigration Canada still has the initial records for your PR application in their database several years back. At that time, you listed your family members' information for your PR application. Your family member information will be verified from CIC database for cross reference purpose.
