Hi Guys,
My parents received another request for getting fingerprinting sent to RCMP. Is there anyone who is familiar with the process of getting fingerprints in New Delhi?
Thanks

Hi ICJ,

How did your parents receive the fingerprint request? By mail or e-mail? When did they receive it?

Ok, another update: followign the series of recent posts here on the board regardign files being in transit and changes in the process /reshuffling and such, I have decided to call the Call Centre today - just to see if I am lucky to get an agent that could provide some information about our case (whether it is in transit or at the LVO already at least)
I also wanted to check if I am recorded as a representative for my parents (we filed the form with all the other forms when submitting back in Feb 2012)

Anyway, after a number of holds, the agent told me that her system now shows that our case is in transit to CPC O or something like that... I told her "Are you sure? I already got a approval letter that our case is being transferred to the LVO" and she said "that is what the system shows now".

I do not want to get my hopes up so I will not hope too much so I will just have to wait patiently...
The problem is that I actually mailed our PCCs to the LVO just last week! They were getting to 3 month period and I was worried that they are about to expire and thought if I mail them they maybe will accept them at least for now (it is a pain in teh ... for my parents to go request them and it takes at least a month to process)

Oh, well... Looks like the whole process is being reshuffled again...Hope it is for the better! :-)

wow Anik! thanks for the update.. i hope whatever is happening is for the better... GodSpeed all

I thought fingerprint is not required for parents. Anyone else know anything about the fingerprint? Is that required for parents sponsorship?

Yes my dad works for a govt bank. But I heard from others that CIC is asking for fingerprints for anyone who have visited Canada.

Frankly, I am even afraid to believe it or get my hopes up (I have been trying to accept the fact that we are stuck with the LVO and it is going to take long...). I guess I should order GCMS notes to be sure and to understand what is going on (keep procrastinating on that - need to get my parents consent form first)

Though Ottawa seemed to slow down as well and will likely slow down more if they transfer more cases there.

we applied in in Dec 2007 - but now we seem to fall behind many others in the process :-(
THough I wish all of us get their parents' visas soon - we all waited long enough!

I have been puzzled but that to. I also got transferred to LVO (Apr 12 approval letter date). I did not have PCCs for my parents yet in February when I submitted those forms as requested but we got them by teh end of March and I had them on hand. As they were dated early March, I was not sure if they will be considered expired in early June so last week I actually mailed them to the LVO without waiting for their request (I have not heard back from the LVO ever).
But then, yesterday, I called the call centre and the agent told me that it looks like our case now is in transit to Ottawa (not sure if that is true - I am totally confused now).

If that is true, now I have no idea what is going to happen with the certificates that I mailed to the LVO. Are they going to forward them to CPC-O or mail them back to me?
Anyway, I am not even sure where our case is...

If you can scan their signature from an existing document (and your parents give their consent to you - of course), the soft copy of the signature comes in very handy.

I really do not understand, why a lot of people believe that a pcc is valid only for 3 months. A pcc is generally valid for one year.

When CPC-M sent out letters for additional docs in Nov 2011, they had recommended applicants to start taking steps to get the PCC and pay the RPRF fees too. I believe, in subsequent batches, this was not included.
