Finally I received the approval letter today (May 29th) dated May 24th and my parents file (no dependent) has transfered to local visa office-Ankara. I was wondered if there is any body else in this forum with LVO of Ankara (parents residing in Iran) processing their application??? I have now noooooooooo idea that how long it might take from this step...any ideas???

My congratulations shjooya ! At some point my file should be transferred to Ankara as well, but I am still waiting decision and I hope approval letter. When you opened a file ? In 2008 or 2007 ?

Per information on CIC webite - Ankara's processing time is 26 months...

:-\ - NEWSFLASH:

i just called CIC again just about half hour ago to check whether my parents application is still in transition for Singapore or not. At first the agent was even hesitant to check the status as according to her as soon as we can approved as sponsors the agents dont see any update on the file! Anyhow I forced her to check my file as i mentioned i called last week and they said they were preparing the package to send it down to LVO. I also wanted to know about the status on the PCCs that I had mailed them later ( didnt send them initially with all the documents) and also the forms I sent to make myself rep for my parents application.

she made me wait a few times as apparently they are using a new system and she needed time to look at all the info. i didnt mind waiting as i thought i may be getting more information...
she came back saying that there is a note on my file they received the PCCs already on April 16, 2012. she said I am still not showing up as a rep on their application and i should fax those forms again. Finally the last info - the package has already been shipped out along with the PCCs.

...And then she mentioned another insight that I was surprised. She said with the new process with sponsorship applications for parents and grandparents to speed things up - it could be CPC-M or CPC-Ottawa looking at the package even though the approval letter could say its going to LVO singapore or wherever! .. I am not sure as how much i would like to believe this.. so basically after approval it may just sit at any of the 3 locations - CPC-M, CPC-O, LVO.... but again criteria unknown as to which package goes where!!..

i got a letter that my file was tranferred to LVO and i can contact them for further correspondance but i got email regarding my mother medical from Ottawa office.

Any news about 2010 applications?

I have a question for all members whose files were transferred to Ottawa before April 4. There are users in Google docs sheet who have got medical request and their files were transferred on April 2,3 and 4, but I also see some members whose files were transferred in March and have not got medical requests. I believe that those members are no longer active. Is there anyone who got the file transferred to Ottawa in March and still awaiting medical request??
Regards

Hi All

when do you have to send PPC -- Do they request it with Medicals?? I got a approval letter from CPC-M on April 30 and file was transferred to local Visa office

Thanks

Ok, another update: followign the series of recent posts here on the board regardign files being in transit and changes in the process /reshuffling and such, I have decided to call the Call Centre today - just to see if I am lucky to get an agent that could provide some information about our case (whether it is in transit or at the LVO already at least)
I also wanted to check if I am recorded as a representative for my parents (we filed the form with all the other forms when submitting back in Feb 2012)

Anyway, after a number of holds, the agent told me that her system now shows that our case is in transit to CPC O or something like that... I told her "Are you sure? I already got a approval letter that our case is being transferred to the LVO" and she said "that is what the system shows now".

I do not want to get my hopes up so I will not hope too much so I will just have to wait patiently...
The problem is that I actually mailed our PCCs to the LVO just last week! They were getting to 3 month period and I was worried that they are about to expire and thought if I mail them they maybe will accept them at least for now (it is a pain in teh ... for my parents to go request them and it takes at least a month to process)

Oh, well... Looks like the whole process is being reshuffled again...Hope it is for the better! :-)
Woww i hope we all get visas by next year

Any people who sent the documents in mid-May 2012 got any AOR or Sponsorship approval yet?

No changes in eCAS yet, still says "application received" only for parental sponsorship.

Waiting eagerly for the next step/approval. Our package was heavy, due to documents of dependents, etc

Hi All

I got the medical request for my parents last week. Now my parents are visting canada and in Calgary right now and then coming to Toronto 1.5 months later and then back to India in Nov. We can get the medicals done at Calgary but i do expect follow up tests from CIC for my fathers heart condition.

I understand that they send the follow up tests in a sealed letter for the DMP. If the initial DMP is in Calgary and by the time they request follow up tests they are in toronto or if the tests are too costly here and we want to get them done in INDIA then how would we go about it?

Is it better to ask CIC that we want to hold off on medicals till Nov or should we get it done now but then how do we coordinate all this with DMP in Calgary and further tests to be done at Toronto or India

hi when was your sponsorship approved? what office was it transferred?

Sound interesting. Which LVO mention on your letter ? Have you got any AOR from that LVO ? Can you please share your timeline.

great info Ratri and Anik, things are all over the place at the moment with parents files, no specific process how they are dealing things so , hope for the best that what ever they do our family get visa soon hope fully by this year then would be grace of god.
good luck to you all

Thanks Aikam, Tahal , Dev , Gagan for the wishes.
Thanks for all the support. this is a great forum, really helped me with suggestions, my down times. Thank you guys....

Mp's inquiry really helped my case.
After I came to know that they will be requesting finger prints, before the Delhi visa office send us a letter, I requested my parents to send me the finger prints here in canada and there is a company name Pacific Finger prints services in surrey BC and they converted the prints into digital and submitted for RCMP clearance and I received the RCMP clearance in mail in a week. I couriered that to Delhi visa office and they received on May 5. My parents got a call on May 7 requesting my mom to come delhi for finger prints on May 31 but they informed them they have already submitted and then it change to decision made this week. Finger prints cost me $83 each but it was worth it.
My parents also wrote a letter to delhi visa office that they are willing to fly to canada with 5 day notice (visa issued). Mp office told us to do that.
