I didn't send affidavit for birth and marriage certificate of my parents when cic ask for the additional documents in Nov 25.I am thinking to send it now as i don't want to delay my parents immigration( after waiting 4 years).

Can anybody help me with the format of birth and marriage affidavit.

I will really appreciate the help?

i know some people whose file was forwarded to a local office in 2011, did medicals in Jan 2012 and already got visas... but they are not from New Dehli office...

I know a couple of people who got visa from New Delhi last week. They applied in Aug 2007, did medical in Jan 2012.

it seems that your file is already approved and transferred to Ottawa. Do you think you need to send Birth and Marriage Certificate now? If CIC did not specifically asked for these document and approved your file, I think you do not need to submit these document anymore...

I did not send the Birth Certificate or Marriage Certificate with Additional documents. I file has been transferred to Ottawa. Another member mentioned that Ottawa asked for Marriage certificate with Medicals. I am keeping these documents ready but not sending them proactively. If they ask for them with medical, I would send them.
Do you think this is the right approach or should I be sending them now? Any suggestions?

No, their files got transferred in early 2011 to the best of my knowledge. They applied in August 2011, CIC stopped processing applications from Sept 2007 onwards.

I have same timeline and situation.I am also trying to get affidavit for my parents .....I think we should wait till we get request.

Hello,

I started the process to sponsor my dad and my two siblings in July 2009. I received the letter requesting for additional documents on March 30, 2012.

My mother was not initially included in the application to accompany my dad as she was working as a diplomat at the time of filling the application in 2009 and you were not allowed to apply with a diplomatic passport. Her term as a diplomat will end in June 2012 which is around the deadline which we have to send the additional documents.

I would like to know if we are able to change her status at this time so that she IS accompanying my dad since she now has access to a regular passport and not a diplomatic passport. I was thinking of including her in the application forms this time around with all supporting documents and writing a letter explaining the situation as above. Will this be sufficient?

That is the only way you can include your mom as an accompanying person they can request update when they start with your sponsorship application

But I suspect for those people there was quite a bit of time passing between submission to local VO and request for medical? Meaning they likely did all the background check /paperwork review first and medicals were the last stage in the process. With ottawa, they seem to have a different process...Or maybe they indeed decide to simplify background check process for those parent applications they selected for Ottawa to speed up the process?

can u please tell me where u translated your parents national identity card as u said ur parents dont live in their birth country so it is same like mine so did ur parents go to their embassy to translate or where

Yes the embassy translated my parents national IDs for them.
