Hi All, who got medical request. There is little confusion where to send results As this polit proj is new for DMP and sounds like they were not instructed properly.
There is special concern for me and Shuga and if someone's result have been sent to local CIC.
Today, I called CIC-CSR and ofcourse, they werenot sure about this steps as they dont know about this new process. But they did mention that as per Medical request form A, if office is Ottawa, it should go to Ottawa. They also mention that CIC-Ottawa should have their same system linked with CIC-local office.
and if not linked, then AS per ottawa, 30 days medical completion time frame, we would be late. what do you say/think?
Is there a completion time frame for medicals? I thought its only for PCC (60 days).

mahbubeh, cograts. Did your parents do medical in Canada or back home?
Did you ask the doctor to send the results to Ottawa?

They did medical back home and the Dr. sent the result to Ottawa. I don't think he asked my parents where to send.
With the request to do medical email I received one form for each of my mother and father. They printed it and took it to the Dr., he had rest of forms himself. Here is a link to designated medical practitioner handbook: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/publications/dmp-handbook/appendix-02.asp
It describes what forms should be filled and how.
Remember this is not for us so you don't need to do anything other than going to a designated practitioner with printed form A and some ID. They should know the rest.

I hope this helps.

Shuga, do you think, any steps we should take at this stage, with regards to medical result?
honestly - i can not think about any steps... i will order FOSS - just to check what's going on with my application...

not sure if it makes sence to call CIC... i dont believe in calling them...

it looks like every DMP reads the handbook differently :) based on the same medical forms from Ottawa some DMPs send results to Ottawa... and some to a regional medical office...

may be your applications also going through background check process

i don't think so... i just received FOSS notes - there is nothing about background check process there...

it's been less than 3 weeks since my medical package was delivered to a regional medical office... it's just too early...

Hi Sponsorparents and Shuga,

Please let us know when you do this FOSS thing. I would also like to do the same may be in a few weeks after my parents get the meds done.
May be if Shuga can post some details about the kind of information they give in FOSS it will be very helpful.

Thanks,
Vik
