Hi everybody,
It's my first posts, but I have followed this topic for a long time.
I have a question for sponsors that their parents are actually in Canada.
Did anybody choose the Buffalo visa office for processing your parents application, since they are here?

I just got medical and pcc request today. See my profile on left for time lines.

has anyone sent additional document late January and got sponsor approval?

"National consultations on parent and grandparent immigration launched by Minister Kenney
Ottawa, March 23, 2012 – National consultations on the redesign of Canada’s parent and grandparent (PGP) immigration program were launched today by Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism Minister Jason Kenney.

Faced with backlogs and growing wait times, Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) is planning to revamp its PGP immigration program. Online consultations are now open for public comment on CIC’s website and Minister Kenney will host a series of multicity in-person consultations with stakeholders. "

We have to send any medicals paper send to Ottawa ? If yes what is that address ?
How much cost in Indian Rupees ? (Two Person)
It would cost approximately INR 9500 (per person) to get the medicals done and send it to Ottawa.

I have a new update to share. I was able to findout that my parents application is waiting for the background check to complete. This process might take 3 months or more to complete. Finally my calls to CIC call center paid off with some valueable info. Agent told me that every application has to go through this at some point.

I thought CIC would do this as a real 'background process', meaning, while waiting for applicants medicals, PCC and etc. I guess they were doing this to 'balance' the load on medical and background check offices.

And this means you will not get medicals and PPC request until background check is complete? And us, who got meds and PCC done will gave to wait for backround check? Very interesting.

I guess so, but not sure. we have already submitted pcc

Not sure, but may be likely, it depends on when the officer requested checks.

We were asked by MD where we want medicals to be send, and we choose Ottawa

Ottawa Regional Medical Office
Health Management Branch
Citizenship and Immigration Canada
219 Laurier Ave. West, 3rd floor
Ottawa, ON K1A 1L1
Canada
Fax: +1 613 954 6211

But we are not sure if that is the right choice yet, as some applicants were told it has to go to the local medical office. Does anybody has done meds outside of Canada and send to Ottawa has update online?
