Hello forum members,
I can really use some help from people's experiences thus far. Here is my timeline
Applied for sponsorship: June 2008
Additonal documents request received: November 2011
Additonal docs sent" December 11, 2011
After this my file was returned on January 18th, as one form was stated missing. But the form was in the package. So, I sent the package back to CIC with the cover letter explaining the forms is there etc. The package was received at Mississauga on January 31, 2012. Today I received an email from CIC, which I am pasting below:
I am very confused by this email. The file no. quoted on this email is different from the one that is listed on the letter that was sent to me requesting additional docs. Can someone clarify if the file no changes in the sponsorship approval letters received? Has anyone else received such an email? After 3 months of waiting, I am getting an acknowledgment instead of sponsorship approval! Also, CICs address in this email is different from the one that we have been using to send sponsorship applications- it is P.O.BOx 6100 and different postal code as against P.O.Box 3000. I can't call CIC as I am out of the country. No change in my e-cas. Very frustrating...any insights/suggestions will be much appreciated.
