Hi Nanapush, Thank you for your good wishes. Can I ask what you signed the back of the visa photos with as they have said don't use a ball point pen? Would a pencil be ok? Why has everything got to be so complicated with the CIC's :-[

You will be counting down the days now till you land, I expect.
Are you preparing a Goods to Follow list to present to immigration when you land?
This will be quite hard to do as it is difficult to estimate how many boxes of clothing, books etc there will be until you actually get a shipping company in to view your goods. I suppose all we can do is wildly over estimate on our Goods to Follow list so that no import tax will be incurred at a later date.

I'm not sure if we had to sign the photos we sent to London . Does it specifically say on yours that you have to?

Hi guys, My file was transferred to LVO ND and I have received AOR from them as well about 3 months ago. I have noticed since the file transfer the line on my ecas changes from 1 to 2 lines and then back to 1. this has happened about 5 or 6 times now. does anyone know why it's happening or what it means. thanks

Hey sonu no i wont suggest you to send an email to ND rather call your Dr. to make sure they mailed your medicals thats it.
My thinking is we should not bother them too much....cuz they will take out our file from line to investigate our request that can delay our case, whereas now your turn could be anyday. =)

Thanx kandel for ur worthy advise, I confirmed with Dr. already, they mailed on Dec 8......

Hi Nanapush, yes it says to put my name and file number on the back of each photo.

In that case pencil or possibly a roller ball pen as that doesn't need so much pressure. BTW they use one photo for one copy of the COPR but the other one doesn't have a photo so they must keep one on file.
We sent ours by DHL courier and enclosed a prepaid special delivery Royal Mail envelope. It had a tracking number so you can keep an eye on where it is and when it's on it's way back to you.

Dear RajaJI

I have posted a few times about my situation but seems like noone has replied. Could you please share your thoughts on my case as read below?

I am in a situation where PPR request is being very late compared to other members. As of early Nov, the ecas changed to decision made (Ottawa office), but since then no further action. On Nov 13th, my lawyer sent email to Ottawa office asking updates on the file but no response to that email either. What should I do at this point? Any suggestions please?

Thanks so much and hope to hear from you.

Happy holidays to you and everyone in this forum.

I won't bother sending request, as "Decision Made" means from my experience 3 things...

* Decision Made - Case Approved/Denied
* Decision Made - Case transferred from one LVO to another. (mostly for CPP-O files)
* Decision Made - Recreated new file, so they closed old file (rare, but this happened to me)

I have got this information from CIC officers.

Dilema...even after explaining 'very' carefully to my mum to courier the documents and include a prepaid special delivery royal mail envelope - she sent by special delivery (which is great as it got there the next day) however, she only put a self addressed brown envelope with NO stamps or prepaid sticker!! What should I do next......

Does your LVO offers service of cash on delivery? If not send another mail with prepaid envelope and you could write prepaid envelope for file numberxxxx on outside of envelope and urgent.Thats the only thing you can do now.

IMO, it happened when CIC started to fast track the approval of sponsorship applications in November 2011. Possible reason is that records of sponsorship applications were recreated separate from existing ones at that time and sometimes e-Cas displays information from both data sources and at other times from one data source.

The line which shows - Decision Made under Sponsorship Application and Application Received under Permanent Residence Application - is the active line.

Thanks Rajaji. makes sense. I always wondered why it was going back and forth to 2 lines then 1 line. some people suggested that when this happens on ecas the lvo is working on ur file and I am hoping its true.

I would suggest the same as Luck786 that she send another (prepaid) envelope with the case number inside another package . There's no guarantee that it will be filed with her original package but it's worth a try. I imagine they might contact her if there's a problem. The letter with COPR is not a heavy one so wouldn't cost CHC much to post but there would be no way of tracking it.Let's hope they are generous of spirit. It must happen sometimes. I hope you find a solution.
