I sent passport to LVO Bucharest.

Hi all,

My parents are in Canada on a visitors visa. For this reason we sent their docs to Canadian Consulate Genreal in New York. Is there are anyone who also sent their meds to NY. Just wanted to get an idea on the processing time after meds are done.

Thanks,

Meds should have been sent to Ottawa for parents who are in Canada. I am not sure how much time Canadian Consulate in New York will take. If your file is in New York, then it should not take much time, however if your file is in CPP-O then I do not know about the processing time.

Thank you Rajmalhotra,

Meds were sent to Ottawa, but the file is in NY. Ottawa forwarded the meds to them and my status says meds received.
Hopefully, you are right and they will make a decision soon.

Sana7, you should be very happy if you already have a "Decision made" after 2 months after medical with a file from September 2009!
There are people who apply in 2007 and they didn't done medicals yet so it is very hard to predict when you will get a passport request from CPP-O!
Think positive and good luck!
Yes, I am cautiously happy. However, in the majority of cases I see passports are requested before the “Decision Made” E-cas status and wondering why these few cases are different. I am wondering if this is because CIC need to check the location of parents first or what. I am trying to stay positive and think that “Decision Made” is 100% positive decision.

To me it looks like some employees of CIC are trying to be very loyal and over efficient then needed to make Jason Kenny happy.Instead of following new guidelines they are just trying to minimize the entries of family class to minimum. Our LVO s are not even in top ten Lvos for parents.Even then we don't see any movement or visas.
They have stretched the timeline to beyond 7 years.I don't understand the LVO's which makes top 10 list for parental visas are issuing visas non stop and the one which already have less files are not budging.
Like our countries' politicians and beurocracy ,unfortunately we got the same kind of material from Canada for our LVo's.

Mostly staff in embassies are local, so there you go.

Andrei Congratulations =)

Hello all,

I have started wondering about passport request. Decision made appeared early Nov but no ppr yet. So i have requested my laywer to inquire Ottawa office about the status. Who knows how long it will take to get the response but i will update you on the response once get it.

I am also starting to wonder for those parents done medicals in Canada, maybe that is the factor for not getting ppr request or slower at least compared to those who had the decision made appeared around same timr as mine like Parkbr's case.

Who knows...

I am just keeping my hopes up.
